Yeah, pretty much. Trying to fix things will probably just make them worse.

The way things are in America its pretty much a free for all when it comes to owning guns.
Good thing you're not from America because clearly you don't know shit. Gun laws do vary from state to state, in Massachusetts for example you basically can't carry anything but a handgun, no fully auto or machine guns.
Canada is a very different place than America in some ways, gun control being one of them.

This.
I think that people should have the right to bear arms as long as they're cautious with them. Now, I know that there is no way a person could tell if someone looks like a 'cautious gun-carrying worthy' person but there's really nothing you can do about it. If they took that right away from all citizens the people who break the law would still manage to find a weapon and use it against defenseless people who are now unable to carry.

I prefer having the ability to not worry about random shooting happening than a right to carry guns.

Random shootings will happen not because of a right to carry guns but the ability to not worry about random shootings.
Complancy kills.
The culprit could have easily filled the theater parking lot with improved explosive devices in order to kill all of the rallied survivors, cell-phone camera armed bystanders, and police force. People also fail to appreciate the police involvement in this sitation but they're oh-so-quick to blame the entire force when a single officer screws up.

Amen, there will always be those nuts.
He had the knowledge to blow the place sky high if he wanted to.

I'm sick of people using this tragedy to push their own agendas. I have heard so many awful excuses for why this happened, it makes me sick. He did it because he was mentally unstable. Period.

I don't get why he went through the trouble of booby-trapping his apartment, only to warn the police that he did so. I don't know that just seems...off...

I don't get why he decided to shoot up a movie theater.
