Mabination Pokemanz Tournaments 8/25/12

  Ok
  Since Pokemon Showdown doesn’t require you to download, it would easy and nice for everyone to do Pokemanz battles.
  This is an OU tournament, meaning all Pokemon are allowed except for Ubers.

  Rules
  1. Species clause: can't have more than one of the same pokemon on your team. Like a team of bidoofs

  2. Evasion clause: can't use moves that affect evasion like double team or other stuff like that
  3. Sleep Clause: can't make more than one pokemon on your opponent's team asleep.
  4. OHKO Clause: no one on your team can have OHKO moves like Fissure
  5. No teams can have both swift swim and drizzle pokemon
  6. No Pokemon on your team has the ability Moody
  7. Matches are played in best out of 3 games. Participants can switch out their teams between games.
  8. All matches must allow spectators, be spectated by the cat (or someone else if we can arrange it)
  
  Prizes:
  Since the cat is poor, the prizes are not that great. Only the winner of the finals gets a prize.
  The winter of the finals chooses ONE of the following options
  1. 10 Dye ampules. Only for people who play on Mari.
  2. Avatars for DFO. Discussion needs to be arranged with the winner
  3. This steam game

  Please post on this thread for at least one of the following reasons
  1. Discussing the rules of the tournament
  2. Discussing what other NX cash related prizes can be given out. Note the cat's Nexon account has the 10k nx on it, so don't ask for NX card codes. Have be to tradeable Nx items
  3. Discussing the date for the tournament.
  4. If you're going to participate
  
  Also, you can only participate if your post account is above 50.
  The tournament is next Saturday at 7 PM EST
  The brackets will be done on the hour before. If you join after, then you'll start off against other people who join late.

  Eh, I'll join, and I'll bring along my Metronome team. I might win, I might not. Pokemon isn't a game that focuses only on skill, but also luck. In my case, purely luck and little to no skill. Hell, I'll even give everyone else the advantage over me and show what Pokemon I'm running.

  I'm using a team that's only using Metronome. I've already gave myself a huge handicap, so I figure I might as well make them glass cannons to stand any inkling of a chance. Except for Blissey, who I'm hoping will take the hit and put a good dent in the opponent while I'm at it.

  I've never been on the competitive scene, so I'm curious about rule #2. Is there something horribly broken about the Evasion stat that merits attacks that buff it being excluded? :o
