I think frac got it.
It doesn't entirely fit it seems, but it's the best I can think of as of yet.

The correct answer is Solea Caves!
Unfortunately, nobody has guessed right for this week's riddle.
However, I do applaud that some of you took in the keywords and started guessing "landscapes" rather than people...
It was still close!
The riddle will be posted up as of tomorrow, so anticipate! :)

Dang! At first I had thought of ant hell, but then I guessed Ifrit in ant hell instead of thinking further of caves. Ah well. Good riddle! It's nice to have one that no one can guess for a change.

Fracture: Yeah, there were two hints there... the Star Mark and the "from little problems to giant ones";
referring to Giants in Vales.
Ailyene: Lol, you were so close. xD
But yeah, riddle's up.. so good luck to all!

Oblivious as it seems, it may not be so obvious as it seems.

Ok, this is probably way off but is it Granites?
(I thought of Sion straight away too but there were a couple of things that I just couldn't make fit with that whereas Granites does seem to fit with those bits - but I've probably just over-thought the whole thing now :D)

Think of one line though, and then think of saying "Setinarg".

Yeah. Sion backwards and mirrored is nois...which can be pronounced as nice. Plus it talks about youth and having a barrier towards his love (Ibbie - Bryce doesn't like Sion so he opposes him), which makes me think it's Sion. There's also "His price is concise to run the device." which could be the fee he charges to run the refining ovens. But mainly the nois part lol.
Unless the riddle doesn't mean it literally sounds like nice...but I can't really think of someone else who also has a love, a barrier towards it, is young, runs a device with a price, etc.

It was sort of that line that made me think of it though - well, not so much the backward bit but the nice part...
You see there's a type of granite rock called gneiss that's pronounced 'nice'
So, once I remembered that, I got thinking about these things:
Granites theme music is called Mirror That Sheds Light on Loneliness (which
might make sense of the mirror reference)
&, on the wiki, it says:
He seems to have undisclosed anguish but does not let this prevent him from doing his job. He used to fight in battle alongside his brother, Granat in Tailteann. He is now retired from the battle field and is minding the General Store.
(which, I thought,
might make sense of the references to working hard & the longing for something/someone he loves but, as he says IG that his love is the desert, I'm not sure that would make sense..)
So, really, I guess it just goes to show you can make anything fit something if you think about it for long enough ;)
(As I said, my first thought was also Sion :))
Take care
