Quote from theinsomnianiac;243734:
It was sort of that line that made me think of it though - well, not so much the backward bit but the nice part...
You see there's a type of granite rock called gneiss that's pronounced 'nice'
So, once I remembered that, I got thinking about these things:
Granites theme music is called Mirror That Sheds Light on Loneliness (which might make sense of the mirror reference)
&, on the wiki, it says:
(which, I thought, might make sense of the references to working hard & the longing for something/someone he loves but, as he says IG that his love is the desert, I'm not sure that would make sense..)
So, really, I guess it just goes to show you can make anything fit something if you think about it for long enough ;) (As I said, my first thought was also Sion :))
Take care

Whoa, nice analyzing! However...
the answer was indeed Sion, as guessed correctly by Ailyene.
Once again, PM Osay for your reward~

I'm going to guess La Terra Highlands, aka rafting.
You sort of need some formed of range to do rafting, and (from what I've heard) it's great for leveling. It's on water and right next to the part of the river you can freeze to get to Physis.

Gonna use my second guess for Marshes of Pantay, too.

Master Lich is my second guess.

This reminds me of Waboka
Properly I'm the pith and the marrow
He's strong but blames himself for his brother's death.
If upended, I can be used to form spear and arrow.
He's the blacksmith in Cor
Those that live near me are misguided of the truth.
Compared to my brothers, I'm considered a youth.
He talks about his brother a lot not sure though
I can't see a thing,
the sun's rays make my eyes sting. - Cor is outside the Jungle which is very bright and humid.
Here, the level of long-range fighters will certainly ding.
I'm not sure if I would like to drown
These remind me of rafting
Not sure with these though

It won't be too wise to wear a gown.
You'll need your right brain
To find this right-brained place.
To think with a left brain
Means you intend to skate.

Alright, nobody exactly guessed the answer but I'm going to give it to yayforhanna because she DID make reference to the correct answer, Cor.
PM Osay for reward!

^ Gown, meaning that if could easily get wet.
This refers to the river on the side of Cor, where the hippos are.
Cor is on the right side of the map of Iria, and Physis is on the left.
As well, right-brained people are those with artistic natures;
Cor is all about exploration and adopts a jungle-like habitat.
Anyway, the new riddle is up,
so I hope you all enjoy :)

Prairie Dragon?

Ailyene wrote on 2010-12-18 02:47
That doesn't really seem fair because she didn't guess the correct answer, but okay... =(
Anyways, I guess Gairech Hill or the Dragon Statue at it for this one.

I know it says "mark" in the riddle but...my first guess will be Sen Mag Plateau.
-
Navy wrote on 2010-12-18 03:48
First guess will be Glas Ghaibhleann
More than one way to find I,
By power, (g9) by time, by wandering (g1)
The clues it contains, my oh my
(cutscene before g1 final)
Other things near me may be sundering.
(light gargoyles)
This mark is hard to find;
thankfully the beast is very well confined.
(g1 final it was restrained from the roof)
To defeat it will require all the efforts of mankind.
(Can require a party)
Just remember Mages, it has a strong mind.
(Chaincasting fire firebolt is effective)
An artifact, set to move people
Yet in turn remains unmoved
Tells the tales of a thousand victories
Or a thousand deaths instead.
(G1 is mostly about Tir na nog which was destroyed)
