Why do you think the world is Corrupt?

  Just like all of the other organisms out there, we compete with each other to survive. Money just happens to be one of those things we compete for.
  
  Competition makes us even more selfish, even greedy. CEOs just want more money. Companies make their products in other countries just so they can spend less and make more. (What's the term called again?)
  
  The world is corrupt simply because we exist. We, as in, every living organism on this planet. Plant, animal and everything else.

  theft = gaining something you maybe want/need through your own power, deception or by brute force taking the belonging (if the world went by Darwin's Law, or something like that I can't remember if that was it, that technically is part of survival of the fittest)
  but as humans we find that wrong, because we have things like sympathy/empathy/compassion etc
  
  so is rape, it's in a sense a need to reproduce, sure the rapist probably didn't have that in mind when he or she was doing it, but again evolutionary tactic
  
  but again we see it as being wrong, again it's probably from sympathy/empathy/compassion, or something along those lines, most of us would be like "well I wouldn't want a guy to rape my friend, so neither would her friends"
  
  animal instincts may be a good answer to it
  
  selfishness in a sense is a need to survive, my teacher once said, every living thing has at least one goal, and that is to continue living (in a sense reproduction is a form of "continued living")
  
  
  and babies really do cry for attention/hunger
  if they don't think that themselves, it's because we as humans have instincts too

  A baby's cry isn't selfish. A baby doesn't cry for food.
  
  In order to cry for food, the baby would have to think similarly to this, "I am hungry. Being hungry is bad. Food will make me not hungry. Crying will make me have food. I will now cry in order to not be hungry."
  A baby does not understand why it cries. It just cries.
  
  And hunger is not always bad either. It can provide a powerful drive, making people stronger.

  We do compete with each other to survive, but don't begin to compare us to animals at large. There are no other animals that can perform true altruism. In fact, when you talk about altruism in ecology, true altruism is referred to as Human Altruism. People compete for resources, but people also freely hand resources to others that they will never meet or see ever again.
  
  Don't ignore good in the world. Yes there is corruption, yes there is selfishness. But there is also compassion, care, comfort, and joy. If you paint the world with corruption, all you will see is corruption. I choose to paint the world with happiness.
  
  One tends to view the rest of humanity so that one imagines it with traits that reflect oneself. Knowing that, what does your post say about you?

  I mean selfish in the most innocent way possible. When you make food for yourself, you are (in a sense) putting yourself first. You're hungry, you're gonna make something to eat.
  
  I don't always think about all the people out there who are starving or who only get to enjoy one meal a day.
  
  That's being selfish, in the most innocent way possible. I'm concerned about my needs. I'm putting myself first.
  
  And we should put ourselves first. It's a good for our self-esteem actually.
  
  And babies do cry for attention and food. Just like a puppy does. It's hungry, it whines.
  
  Both learn very quickly.
  
  
  When I said that the world is corrupt simply because we exist, I meant it in form of competition. Competition isn't bad. In fact, we need it to survive.
  
  I believe wholeheartedly in everything you said.
  
  And I do paint the world with happiness. Lots of it actually.
  
  I'm a pretty optimistic person when it comes to life. :) I thought you knew this already. lmao I'm Phunkie!
  
  It's just that we're human. We're not perfect. By definition, we are corrupt, selfish. We go to school to better ourselves mostly. We put ourselves first, then the world. It's how things work.
  
  If we placed the world first, we would never have time for ourselves. And that's not good.
  
  But there's always a balance between the two. haha
