  I didn't like the metro tiles thing at first because of all the colorful and useless garbage apps they shoved onto there. Then I customized it with my shortcuts for things I actually use and now I like it more than the windows 7 start menu.

  Windows 8 is actually a lot more clean. They got rid of the glass theme and went with something more classy. x)

  I like the glass theme.
  
  I kinda like new features and pretty things, and I think the lock screen is excellent looking. But... they went just a little too far with the "starting" UI or whatever you'd call it. The desktop before you change it back to having a more classic look. It's a little too colorful in a bad way and seems to lose out on general functionality.

  What kind of shortcuts can you customize it with? Can I customize it to launch Guild Wars 2 right when I start up my computer from the home screen or Mabi or Chrome?
  
  If the answer is yes to all of that, then I can see myself making use of that.

  Anything you can put on your start menu can go there.
  It IS a start menu just with a different interface.
  
  All those ugly and/or stupid app icons you see by default can be removed.
  Chrome even has a windows 8 version already that launches quicker and is full screen instead of having the taskbar bellow it (or you can launch it from the desktop and use it the traditional way).

  All right, I guess I'll give Windows 8 a shot. I'll wait until it's fully released either way so that they get everything sorted and their security patches all under way.

  Not the fact that macs are generally twice as expensive as a comparable PC? Admittedly, Apple does have a much better logo, if you care about such things.
