Are you one of those alt-oholics who never reach max level because they're constantly rolling new characters?
Anyways, I can't decide what type of build I want to do on my Engie. Right now I've been just using Flamethower, but I can't really decide between Rifle, Flamethrower, and Elixir Gun. Though I haven't really used Elixirs at all... seems like they could be useful.
Also, theres a lot of really good effects that only proc on crit. Should I be dumping into Power or Precision?

Precision is fine. Especially if you're doing support (which is what Engineers specialize in), since this will somewhat make up for Engineer's limited ability for direct damage. Unless you use an elixir build.
You have 5 character slots, so experiment with other professions. Engineer is one of the more "difficult" professions to get into.

I haven't played yet. (Ugh, I want to so bad.) But I'm wondering, did they implement a battle cursor for targeting?

Define battle cursors

Like a targeting reticle, the kind that smite uses.

Btw, can someone please explain to me the difference between Vitality, Precision, Healing and Toughness?
Power I assume is more attack, Condition Damage is obvious (Bleeding, Poison, Burning, etc).
Toughness = Defense and/or Protection?
Healing = More HP regained when you use a heal spell?

Still can't decide if I want to stay an Elementalist... Ugh.

I see. Well that was stupid of me to ask xD
In other news, I got the other 2 achievements in Lion's Arch! Woot! That was much easier than I anticipated.

Anyone have advice for an Elementalist?
I'm not sure about this, but do I need to specialize in 1 Trait? (Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth or Arcane)
On my Asura I just dumped all trait points into Fire... but I'm not sure what I should be doing.

My personal belief is that elementalists should not be limited, pick the right traits for your play style and try to mix it up. You're not just a pyromancer, you command all elements :D

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be good in all elements. But I think it's better to focus on 1 or 2 elements over them all, or I'll just be very well rounded and not really good/strong at anything. Something like that.

Pretty much this. I'm going for a support-build Elementalist. You would think I would pick Water, but I've so far only focused on Arcana.
Being able to switch from one element to another more rapidly - allows me to adjust my skills in the heat of combat more effectively.
In the end - I'm going for Water and Arcana. Maybe I'll put points into Earth? D:
