Apple officially announces iPhone 5 and new iPod Line

  I was worried that I wouldn't be able to type well on that small touchscreen after having used an LG enV2 with an awesome dedicated keyboard, but I ended up adjusting quite nicely. For a low end sort-of-smartphone, it's been serving me quite well for the past 2 years or so. Awesome offline maps support with GPS, too.
  
  I think that as long as you're not blinded by greed and lust for the newest, shiniest stuff, trying to look cool, or whatever... there is little sense in upgrading. I just wish this thing had wifi support so I could mess around on it on the internets without raking up data charges. >:

  I actually want to downgrade to a flip phone because I have a crappy media phone thing that is basically useless for everything but phone calls, or pictures, because it has a better camera than the iPod.

  Actually that's a really really cheap plan compared to what the other providers have here. There's $60/month plans that have like 500MB and no unlimited calling. With the big 3 you'll just get screwed over everyday.
  Mobilicity has this amazingly cheap plan but the signal it offers can be pretty shit. It's only 4G though, so previous iPhones couldn't use it. Tbh moving to Mobilicity from Koodo after buying an iPhone 4 would save me money in the long run. Lol.

  It's called screen protectors ._. I got this set of really nice matte ones for $3 a side. And the app store is by far superior to anything that android or windows phones have to offer, it's one of the redeeming features of iPhones. If you can only find 6 games to play in the App store, I pity you and wonder what the hell you'd do if you had less of a selection with the other phones ._.

  I have a screen protector. It protects the screen, not the awful scratch prone back of the device.
  90% of the apps I use regularly on my iPod are multi-plat, the only reason to stick with iOS is that some of them I bought, and would have to buy again to use on a non-iOS device.
  Actually, other devices have basically no decent games whatsoever (one, maybe two), but then again I wouldn't use them to play games on to begin with. I'm looking at a Google Nexus 7, for school, and web browsing when I'm not using my desktop.
  The only iOS games worth their time are basically Infinity Blade 1&2, Song Summoner, Real Racing 2 (if you like racing, also available on Android), Mirrors Edge (iOS version is the best platformer on the App store), and Game Dev Story (also on Android). I've heard Horn (multiplat... adventure... thing) was good, but IDK.
  
  **Mini-Rant**
  Even other things that might be "good" are ruined by weird/lazy choices. Chaos Rings, for example is basically the same grindy game 4 times over with different looking characters are different level order, for 13 bucks. Now Infinity Blade is worse in the 'doing over' part, but its entirely skill based, and gets progressively harder, gaining new combos and attacks later on. You can be in the horrible armor you get from the start, and be owning guys hundreds of levels above you, rather than having to grind up each set of characters 4 times.

  The painful part about a majority of iOS titles, is that I have more fun listening to music, then I end up deleting the game to make more room for other media, and then regret my purchase, and wish I got an album, or movie instead.

  There's also screen protectors for the backside? I have something called Ghost Armor on my iPhone 4S, no scratch marks on the back and my front doesn't get that greasy from all the touching. But getting the back covered in Ghost Armor or whatever is pretty redundant, especially if you have a case, I have my fucking sexy Rilakkuma case, but I went case-less for awhile before getting this so the screen protectors are a good investment.
  
  Anyways, I would like the upgrade just for the extra battery life but I'm under a contract for this iPhone 4S for three years, I guess I'll upgrade to whatever iPhone when I'm done with this contract.

  iOS will not support this stuff, while android does. with iOS I'd have to browse to the web page, while with android there's built-in support for google services, and a chrome browser that can be synced with my PC, while safari JUST got this feature. Now for the same reason I don't use firefox anymore, I couldn't care less about safari's recent sync feature. Reason being that neither firefox or safari syncs to my google account. My stuff is centralized with google and that's how I like it.
  
  There's not much apple can do to compete against that. They can offer their own similar services if they want but it means nothing to a person who already has been using google services daily for many years. Combined with the fact that I don't like Apple as a company, and what I consider to be a failed product presentation yesterday, I can safely say I will not be getting an iphone of any sort.
  
  But at least the iphone 5 looks nice, the physical device is very well designed so I'll give them that much.

  I think Apple is in so much hate and rage over Google and think that they are better than them, that they would rather fight and work against them, then ever collaborate and work with them. Android on the other hand is built by Google so of course it's going to be compatible with all of Google's Services. If you love Google, you're going to always go Android and if you love Apple, you will always go Apple.

  and @Richochet, there's screen protectors for the back ._. they're not even expensive. If you worry about scratches so much how is it possible you haven't looked it up before? o_o Ghost armor is ridiculously overpriced, imo. You can get the same stuff for way cheaper.

  I mean I love my iPhone and I like apple but that is becoming such a big gripe for me. The brushed chrome on the back of the new iPhone actually looks really nice outside of the speculation pictures but the cord is actually bugging me so much. I want 4G on my phone so I can save money on my phone plan though udfghsdh. And don't say android. Like don't even go there I don't like androids at all.
