Anti-Japanese Demonstrations in China

  Tokyo (CNN) -- Tensions between China and Japan showed no signs of abating Tuesday as fresh anti-Japanese demonstrations took place in Beijing and other cities on a sensitive anniversary, and Chinese government ships sailed near a set of disputed islands.
  The volatile territorial dispute between the two Asian countries has begun to hurt economic links between the world's second and third largest economies and prompted calls from the United States to prevent the situation from spiraling out of control.

  
  
  Now by demonstrations...that also includes burning some buildings, looting businesses, and wrecking any Japanese brand car that's out in the open.

  Sounds like it's already spiraling out of control. It's cases like this where I think the US needs to intervene to break this nonsense up. It's the two largest economies and if they both tank from this, the entire world economy suffers.

  I could use your reasoning against you. While this isn't true, take it as just a possible situation.
  You Piss me off with your post, so it's your fault if I ever go on rampaging other people's belonging. It's All Your Entire Fault.

  Its cause and effect. This type of reaction was guaranteed, but they did it anyways. This is seriously a prime example of manipulating the masses with a single movement. Everyone knew the natinoalistic tensions between Japan and China have always been bad, the island disputes have almost led to diplomatic issues several times, people's lives have been lost over protests and mobs before, and what do they do? Nationalize the islands.
  
  Now they have the Chinese navy surrounding the islands, and the Chinese, who have always been historically known for their mobbing mentality, has really gone over the top.
  
  Yeah, they shouldn't be looting or acting violent, but in the end, those who instigated it are at fault.

  I think you answered your own question.
  
  If you can't comprehend this, you obviously don't know how die hard the Chinese are about these islands. They're willing to give their lives to claim it for their country. They've been taught from the day they can remember that these islands were stolen from them, and they are the victims. Add to the nationalistic zeal that Asians enforce on their children, you have them singing songs about how these islands are their property from kindergarten. They've been mobbing like this on a daily basis and protesting way before these events. It was sitting on the fine line between withheld anger and pure raging violence.
  
  The most ludicrous thing you could do is go to the islands and plant a flag in it. It literally is tantamount to a declaration of war.
  
  Teasing an angry dog on a frail leash is what happened here.
  
  Edit: I take no sides in the island dispute, I just think it was stupid for Japan to do this. I know China's being pretty hypocritical about territorial claims too anyways.

  Ah well while I do comprehend their social situation and all, I'm a woman of logic. If things aren't logic, I usually don't move for them. The only think I don't comprehend is how people do it to become so ingrossed in social culture to become unable to think in rational and logical ways.. I don't see the logic behind using someone's birth location and culture as a "reason" to validiate their idiotic detrimental actions toward other people that haven't done anything against them..

  All too understandable but from a realistic point of view you gotta understand that the masses are about as easy to manipulate into violence as uhh, this particular situation we have here.

  I also understand this, but from a logical moralistic point of view, I don't see Japan has holding the blame for it. I understand why people mgiht coem to think it's Japan's fault.. but deep down to the logic of it, people in the end are responsible in the actions they take. Stupidity and Sheepness are never going to be valid logical reason to use in an argument of what is Right to do.
  But that's just my way of thinking as someone who doesn't get influhenced by others and so cannot understand the way of life of people who do.
