I swear if they make bard super awesome and renew the magic music system and add some sort of play music magic attack, or badass buffs I'm gonna laugh at all the people that never expected anything. Have an open mind. I would consider going bard if there were more instruments available to giants.

Screw music.
Magic got wizard.
Melee got knight.
Alchemy got Alchemist.
Range got Bard.
They need to combine Merchant (equally useless) with Bard and give archers an actual class. When I pick up a bow, Bard isn't doing me any favors.
While I should keep an open mind, the fact remains that there is no indication whatsoever that Bard is a range/music class. At this moment, it's a lame music class.

Well besides the masteries, adventurer has all of knights skills. So u can't really use that as a reason
Considering the discussion is why bards were bad, it's a pretty damn good reason if they only have one gimmick skill unique to them.
Well think of this reasonable. HOW many different ways can you fire an arrow. You already have AR to shoot arrows epic fast. Crash shot for an AoE arrow attack. Normal range. Support shot for a fast shot or support.
What do you want? Short bow mastery? Long bow mastery? A magic epic arrow that explodes and does epic dmage. Oh wait u already have that its called Magic missle. Do you want a poison arrow? Wait you have that too. Its called mirage. Eventually the bard class will get more range skills.......just no one can think of any.
With the exception of Crash Shot, a Knight can use all of those. Adventurers get Crash Shot too. Bards have very little unique to them, which is the whole problem.
Magic and Mirage Missiles are elf-only, and the former is a transformation skill. A human wouldn't have either of those to begin with, much less a human Bard.
Support is also Bard only. Support is dang good in a party with other players.
Merchant seems better for Archers anyway... Luck anyone?

An archer's going to have to go into Adventurer/Merchant for a while anyway, since you can only train most of the dex life skills (i.e. all but Fishing and the music skills) in one of those two classes. The former's probably better off though since Merchants only get access to the basic ranged attack.
