Can anyone explain to me how to mod in Skyrim? Also I would really like some lore-friendly mods for Skyrim. Mostly things for Magic and maybe Range.
Thanks yo!

Empowered Magic balances magic and adds new spells (lore-friendly) to the game. And modding Skyrim is the same as Oblivion. Just follow the installation instructions and you should be fine. Also make sure to read the mod requirements and compatibility.
The Revenge of Colette adds new spells that you find all over the world of Skyrim, they're balanced and each comes with its own story (I think), they're also very unique to the game.
Paths of Shadow is a sneak overhaul that aims to make stealth more realistic and not gamebreaking.
Auto Unequip Ammo automatically unequips your arrows and bolts if you were to unequip your bow/crossbolt.
New Animations for Elegant Archers Replaces vanilla Skyrim bow animations.

Uh, search for CBBE or UNP. Warning: Nudity. But it makes them look far better. CBBE has a no-nudity option though.
Also mods by Xenius aim to improve all character-related features.

Yeah like it won't let me mod...
I have NMM and everything but the data files isn't highlighted or something.
I might have to pirate a new copy, since the one I have is still from when it first cracked.

I don't understand, what do you mean the data files aren't highlighted?

You shouldn't have to do anything there if you use Nexus Mod Manager. (you have to make an ini change for Data Files to be enabled)
I started playing Skyrim again after so long and the mods I'm using right now (though I'm still digging for more), and recommend are:
* Alternate Start - Live another Life
* Apocalypse Spell Package (non overpowered, fun new spells)
* Character Creation Overhaul (brins back character creation system from older TES titles, mostly, since there's still limitations because Skyrim is dumbed down like fuck)
* New Animations for Elegant Archers (I like most of them, I hate the fucking idle animation though, and myself being an archer IRL I notice some of the animations are a bit out there, but given it's a fantasy game, they are cool)
* Proper Aiming (Plus the proper gravity .ini changes to make shooting with a bow more realistic)
* Realistic Ragdolls and Force (because vanillas are fucking stupid)
* Skyrim Redone (The big boy among the mods I'm using, changes a lot of things, game is more challenging overall, though I'm considering trying the Requiem overhaul instead of this one since it seems really hardcore)
* SkyUI (a fucking must because the UI that bethesda did is fucking console shit)
* Unofficial patches
* TK Dodge (Found this awesome since it works somewhat like GW2, and since I've been playing that so much is coolsauce)
* Dual Wield Parrying (which also allows to parry with spell+one-handed)
* Immersive Armor (they are lore-friendly, no anime fucking shit of bullshit)
And I'm gonna download the weather and wild life ones that are recommended in the SkyRe descriptions page.
So far Skyrim is feeling different than when I played months ago, and is more funsies. The new perk trees by SkyRe are much better than vanilla, make much more sense, much better balance, and fun, I actually look forward to leveling up.
Oh also, I'm too using a pirated copy that I downloaded when the game first released, so I don't think you should have a problem there, I did download the last update packed with Dawnguard though.
Oh! And DO NOT forget to download BOSS and run it so it sorts your mods properly (AND READ THROUGH THE LOG!)

I heard the requiem overhaul just turns enemies into damage sponges.
Oh, you should also check out
SkyTEST and
Automatic Variants
@Akemii Either use Nexus Mod Manager or use the Skyrim Data Manager, one or the other. Not both. Since it'll reset your load order everytime you skip. Oh, also get BOSS. I also HIGHLY recommend you read up on this:

SkyTEST yes, that's one I'm downloading :D
Oh also, I still need to get one to make dragons not be fucking shit easy, but dunno if I should use Mighty or Deadly Dragons, Mighty's seems better by reading description.

Speaking of dragons, you should probably get this:

I did do the .ini file thing. That data folder thing just means that it's disabled (I guess modding?)

Been playing with Requiem today, and IT IS AWESOME, much better than SkyRe imo (though, SkyRe does have more interesting perks, overall at least).
It's really challenging, in a fun way, you really have to think through all encounters, the modifications to stamina, damage, armor and weapon stats make a huge difference. It's just an amazing experience and makes the game feel more fun than ever.

Oh, how so? Maybe the experience with damage sponges is different for you.
