What.
Because of her not fitting in. It makes sense, really. But I'm not going to read it. For the same reasons I regret reading Usagi Drop.

Yeah... I didn't read the end due to being spoilered beforehand.

Apparently she commits suicide in the LN
Does she really? Cause I've heard different endings to the point where I don't know which is true.

I think it was episode 7 when Rikka watched a porn. After that point it was no long pure and light-hearted.
That was a romance show she watched, not porn. In fact, she became more pure after discovering love and the reason why she feels so comfortable with Yuuta. Which also lead to experiencing reality.
Now for the ending, since you kinda spoiled it from LN. I was expecting her to go back to playing around with "Chunibyou" even though she used it to escape reality, but in her situation after ep11, there is no way of her going back to her previous life.

It might as well have been a porn with all of that sexual innuendo!
And I don't know if thats really what happened in the LN, it could just be a huge prank. I just know I'm not going to risk it.

Yes, I was actually surprised how serious they made this. :/

The LN has nothing to do with suicide.
There's another character involved who acts as a pseudo love rival and that's it.
The anime omitted the character and greatly diverges from the LN.

I came in expecting a really lighthearted comedy after the first episode. Though I really enjoyed how it turned out. I'll re-watch it some time next year.
