I used to only use torrents (720p, 10-bit; 1080p only if really warranted), but I succumbed to the darkside because being able to stream on my iPad and PS3 is so darn convenient. So, now I have an all-access Crunchyroll subscription and use a combination of the two. No Netflix for me; I can't stand dubs.
Also, I highly recommend the j-drama on Crunchyroll, My Little Nightmare (Akumu-chan). It's so good. I would not, however, recommend looking up the theme song by MomoClo. It is extremely addictive.

1080p, exactly. But not lolis, you should do something about that, it's illegal.
Downloading has it's uses; what're you gonna do when you're on a 12 hour plane ride from Houston to Heathrow?
Too bad its not illegal unless you're importing douijins in a select few states.

I usually just stream on Animefreak.tv, or Netflix for the few that are on there. I've also actually bought anime. I own the complete first run of Black Lagoon on DVD. I don't download often, mostly because I prefer not to clutter up my hard drive.

Pirated DVD or legit DVD?

I do both.
Especially if it's an old anime that has like, zero downloads.

Legit of course. Why would I put something I downloaded on DVD when I can use a HDD?

If I don't care about the quality since it's a crappy anime, Like Ixion Saga DT, I'll just stream it. If it's a high quality anime that I like, for example Sword Art Online, I will download it.
