  Says who? They could have just said they wanted the labial fricative to be voiced instead of unvoiced for artistic flair, making it Sylv instead of Sylph, and they're pretty much the same.
  
  When it comes down to it, it's all still just speculation, so you can't really say I'm wrong.

  Ninfia or Nympheon is the first of two Eevee evolutions to be introduced in Pokemon X and Y. Much like Umbreon in Gen II was one of the first known Dark type pokemon, Nympheon of Gen VI is one of the first Light type pokemon. Much like the Dark, Psychic, Fighting and the Grass, Water, Fire trinities, Light pokemon complete a trinity with Dragon and Steel types. As when Magnemite and Magneton retroactively had Steel added to their types, most of the Fairy egg group will have Light added as a secondary type, such as Chansey, Audino, and Clefairy.

  Well, mystery is solved now. Looks like the people who guessed Light was correct. So how does that work exactly? I thought Dragon was weak to Ice and itself and that Steel was weak to fire and steel.
  
  There wasn't ever any connection between Dragon and Steel so I find it odd that they are changing that so drastically now.

  Your thoughts are correct, there isn't any connection between Dragon and Steel so the trinity doesn't exist. Still would find it cool if it came out to be a new type or the first to break the single type Eeveelution.
  
  
  I still strongly think it's going to be two normal Eeveelutions but restricted to your gender while holding a certain item. Don't see either way of becoming flying or bug through stone, time, or area evolution.

  I misspoke about the steel part. I meant ground and forgot fighting. Sometimes my typing doesn't match what I'm thinking. Actually a lot of the time my mind thinks faster than my hands register it.
