Everything in spoilers, not that any of you who haven't watched it yet ever plan on it.
Holy shit, Ash finally made it top 4 in a league? But he lost because his opponent was throwing legendaries out. His team managed to take out 2, but jesus christ... using legendaries should be banned in league matches. Like how is that even fair?
Lovely Cynthia defends her champion title, as she should.
So Diamond/Pearl ends and starts Black/White.
The BAD:
- Ash, once again, decides to leave all his hard trained pokemon and catch/raise new ones. This leads to him losing in just about every fight ever. His Pikachu was disabled in the first episode by a plot device, so he lost a fight against a starter too. I get that he wants to experience a new region to its fullest and all, but it really conflicts with his whole "becoming pokemon master" thing.
- Brock wasn't the best character, but he was still a pretty good companion for Ash and has stuck by him all this time. But this time, we have Cilan here. This guy is just bad. His personality is not interesting, he has absolutely nothing to offer to the series, and looks like someone out of Cyborg 009.

- The writers managed to completely forget one very important aspect when introducing a female lead this time as well. We can forgive the fact that she is a [S]sand nigga[/S] tall loli with ridiculous hair, but we can't forgive the critical importance of having her on a BICYCLE, which Pikachu DESTROYS. This has been the model for every generation and it is highly regretable that they couldn't follow through with this running gag.

- Pre-animated attack animations. To be repeatedly used. Typical in long running animes, like Fairy Tail.
The GOOD
- Team Rocket doing their job. From the very start of the series, Jessie and James are given a specific mission by Giovani to infiltrate the new region. It must have been the whole "special assignment" thing, because throughout the series you can really see them going try-hard. One of the biggest things that made Pokemon stale was their constant repetitive "try to steal pokemon, fail very easily, blasting off again" antic. Their roles being upgraded from comic relief to something more of an involvement in the plot is quite deserving.
- Fucking ghost subway terrorism. Is this a modern western? Hell yeah.
- Most battles are actually very enjoyable to watch. They don't feel like fillers and has a lot of action. Most importantly, it had IMPACT. Even a tackle was so satisfying to see.
- The anime soundtrack is a remix of the game's. For anyone who hasn't played B&W... it had a really fucking good set of tracks.

The ASS
- Three words: Bianca. Big. Ass. Both figuratively and literally.

I'm sure it is Bianca. I'm sure it is.

Verdict: Pokemon Black and White is a pretty decent anime. It has a lot of improvements on the previous seasons. The battles are actually really good, but fall flat every once in a while by using plot devices like "IT EVOLVED FOR A POWER UP TO SAVE THE DAY", which is very cliche and unfun. I don't recommend watching it though. Fuuuck its long.
