Hey, hey, hi.
So I just started playing Vindictus again after a long long long break, last time I played was when Colru and all that stuff just came out, yeah I know long time ago. So after downloading this onto my new laptop (which took forever jfc, the patching took forever too), I was happy to see that I could play this on high visual settings with 30+ FPS!
So I decided to give this another go. I'm a level 66 Evie with +5 Wonderland Set along with a +10 Dreamwalker staff with various enchants, so my main questions is what set should I be looking out for? Should I switch to Scythe Evie because I'm seeing more Scythe's than Staff ones now. Also does anyone wants to play with me? A guild would be nice too, mine died. ):
And yeah that's about it, and oh btw I'm on the West server.

Don't switch to Scythe unless you have the skills ranked and have a proper +10 Scythe, otherwise you won't get the same damage as with Staff. Both weapons are viable, just Staff is moreso due to corona and range. Scythe does win in DPS now, but swapping weapon types on a whim isn't exactly a smart thing to do.
Wonderland is fine for a set, I already posted a reason why you shouldn't bother switching here.

In order.
1. Most Evies I know go for the wonderland set, at level 60 anyway. You cant use the lv 70 evie gears yet
2.Scythes have gotten a lot better then they used to be, I'd recommend buying a cheap scythe and seeing if you like it
3.East, sorry :c

I started out as a Scythe and then when Staff got rebuffed I switched to it because it was OP. They gave free AP switch anyway so it was no biggie. So I do have experience with Scythe, just not the AP invested skills though.
And everyones fuckin' East, god.

So even the Level 70 set isn't that great? Whoop whoop, no need to spend extra money I guess. Also I have a +10 Rakrak Claw, will that suffice? Or shall I look for a better Scythe. Since I'm not sure with the calculations but I remember Rakrak Claw being good because it was fast. I'll just rank up my skills for Scythe now because I don't see any other things that need ranking up.
Thanks for answering my questions~

Rakrak, SoC, and Lionotooth are the ones I remember being popular.
The Lionotooth probably being the most popular, but I'm not much of a Scythe player so I can't comment on it much further. People still like speed stacking, so it should suffice.
The only Scythe tip I can give is that Insane Reaper is amazing and you should spam it whenever it's not on cooldown.

I'll look into Lionotooth and see if it's better than Rakrak~ Thanks again. How about weapon upgrades though should I switch once I hit level 70? Or are the new weapons not that great in general?

Don't bother with Lv. 70 items yet. S2E2 has a Seal Shop update that allows you to trade for Lv. 70 mats. Prices are going to plummet due to that. As long as you're not worried about getting to S2E1 Lv. 70-80 right away, a +10 60 will suffice for a while. It also helps that Scythes have innately high base Att values, only behind Cestus and around the same as a Hammer, so you should be able to get/pass 14k.
Personal prediction? Lv. 70 weapons will only cost ~100m at that point versus the ~300m they cost now. (East pricing, but my point is pretty much they'll drop a ton)
And apologies, it's Lionoteeth not Lionotooth. Shows how much I know about Scythes.
http://vindictusdb.com/item-comparer?i=linoteeth.10.0.0.0;scythe_rakrak.10.0.0.0;scythe_succubus.10.0.0.0
The reason people like the Lionoteeth is that most Evies will get a set which will offset the balance loss, so they'd much rather take the extra M.Att. And for the majority of the bosses, raw M.Att beats any supporting stat. The only catch here is that Scythes also want to stack as much speed as they can (it was a slow weapon and you want to get to the later smashes for damage), so that's why most people take the Lionoteeth as they still want that 9 base speed.
You probably want to get some Disciple's and Illusion onto your Wonderland as cheap enchants for a bit of extra M.Att. Enduring Master on the tunic is always a good, safe bet as they're both safe scrolls and won't blow up the Bolero. They're also relatively affordable. You can risk Well-Balanced, Force, or Enthusiastic on your gloves/shoes/hats as the wonderful thing about Wonderland parts is that those 3 pieces are cheap enough that you won't feel bad for blowing them up.
Scythe, you'll want the suffix to be either Valor, Bloodlust, or Divine Punishment. Prefix will be either Intense or Leopard.

Hmmm thanks, I'll hold off on the Lv. 70 weapons then I guess~ I already got all my gear enchanted with the appropriate scroll, I'm so glad that Lv. 70 outfits don't matter because I actually fused the look of a Bunny Earheadband to the Wonderland hat.
Thanks for answering my questions~
*EDIT* Also, I have bad accesorries I think, I have Broken Feather Earrings, Ghost Witch Spell Book with enchants, Ghost Witch Emblem, 3* Thorn Ring, Ghostly Ring, and a Solid Thor Leather Belt, any suggestions for upgrading?

Shadow Looting on spellbook, I suppose full Thor set is workable - but since you're going Scythe it might be worth running double 3* Thorn Rings + Evil Monster Belt.
Earrings to 3* Temptation, or something like that since I haven't really kept up with how to optimize Evie's earrings since 60/70 items became craftable.
These are all minor optimizations, so it's not crucial to do these.

Ok thanks again!
Too bad you're on East.
Everyone is on fuckin' East. I swear to God.

Wouldn't really be worth adding me anyways. Nowadays I can't raid on my Vella (still working on a weapon) and I don't really feel like raiding on my Fiona either. So I'm just sort of in this state of randomly killing off my dailies and then switching to my Fiona to kill Lakoria and then logging off. Probably a good thing too, considering I'm juggling real life obligations as well.

Not so sure about the shadow looting book. Micho has the emblem too, so it would be shadow looting (160) vs. ghost witch (156+10 from set bonus).
Or am I missing something about those books?

Yes you can, you just choose not to.
If I'll raid with a 12K/1.4K Kai, you can raid with an 11K/9K Vella ;__;
You just won't beat me <3
Yeah, the set bonus has to be accounted for unless you have a rare emblem. Those are expensive and not worth the money.

I'll be honest and say I kind of forget. I think I made this optimization for Evie when Ancient Crystals weren't the cost of an arm and a leg or a Kraken Fang. Needless to say my Evie took so long to level that I never got the chance to use it in practice.
