I now know why i scored so erratically on all of these exams
Hilarious in hindsight
Quote from BobYoMeowMeow;1028703:
well the survey is not really searching for possibility of autism
the website does have a survey for specifically autism
http://glennrowe.net/BaronCohen/AutismSpectrumQuotient/AutismSpectrumQuotient.aspx
Anyways, isn't autism more dominated by the repetitive behavior rather than the social impairment
This is tricky business, it depends how the individual was raised, i did EXTRAORDINARY research on this trying to come up with reasons for my own behavior, so i dug deep into the testimonies of others, and it is dependent on how one is treated or not, some people with AS actually lie on these exams because it's what is "logical" or expected of them, especially on job ones, who is going to hire someone who hates social interactions, depressed all the time, and is a loner.
This is why these exams are a sham and are completely inconclusive, because going there and seeing what people with AS put... Puts a lot of perspective on it.
Hence why every bit of research i have done on this topic has said one thing, "if you seen one person with AS, you have seen one person with AS"
Why am i talking about this, because recently it has come to my attention by pure accident and dumb luck that i found about AS, it provoked enough thought into me to get me rattled, and RESEARCH about a syndrome i may or may not even have... Rattled me. (That's saying something)
Also gave me peace of mind, so let that be a lesson to you all.
These tests are purely for "fun"
Well, back to my "world"
