Act mature. Don't purposely act like an idiot or be annoying (these two should go without saying). Don't overuse smilies, people who use tons of smilies give off the impression that they're either feminine or young. Don't spew memes everywhere. Especially ones that aren't funny at all. Use decent grammar and spelling. The way you type greatly influences what other people will think of you. If people are still being disrespectful, then just don't talk to them.
I've been on the internet since I was 12 and I've never had any issues with people being disrespectful because of my age. It all depends on how you act. If you act immature, people are going to treat you like a little kid.

Monday, I thought everybody in the channel hates you.
<3 Tatsu
In all seriousness, be like me then. On Pika's list, I checked four of them for me! And I'm perfectly fine! Kinda.
No, please don't be like me D:

The most common definition of a loser on the internet by most people, including those who fall under the category themselves and are too ignorant to admit it :
- Around the age of 13 (This does not label you as a loser however).
- Acts like an imbecile who's trying to be cool.
- Does not have portray much intelligence.
- Usually drags people into unnecessary drama from time to time.
- Pretends to be popular or awesome.
- Is obsessed or enjoys with at least one thing that's overrated and won't shut the hell up about it.
See if you fall under any of that. Oh yeah, I replaced "noob" with "loser" since I just remembered how much that term annoys me since everyone keeps spamming it.
Something is very funny about this post.

I see nothing wrong with the use of emoticons. I use them in almost everything I write ^_^

It's funny because I used both myself and my brother as a reference.

If you use smilies, use them to draw people into a false sense of security.
Ex. "Hello I'm new ><;"
And then you beat them to a pulp.
"I got lucky ^^; GG!"

I suppose I abuse smilies a lot. :P
Oh look, I just added one unconsciously.
Also, lol at Intex's example.

Not saying it's a bad thing, but a lot of people I've known find it annoying/associate overuse of smilies with being young/feminine.
