Manaketes can look old, tiki looks like an adult, and the older fire emblems have male manaketes as well, Bantu i think is an old one.
Just this one has a lot of younger ones.
Tiki's mission was easy, use a diamond formation around tiki, they all funnel towards one unit and lemming themselves at it.
Well they tend to fly over the units so that's not so easy to do, but it was pretty easy with dancer + galeforce. I was able to decimate each wave before they had a chance to get anywhere close to tiki.
Also, decided to try Hard mode. Fuck, Hard Mode is well...Hard...Can't imagine Lunatic. Stuck at the Longfort stage cause I don't want to lose anyone and someone keeps dying :/
Sucks that I don't have access to the DLC maps and wireless feature until after like Chapter 5.

I started doing Hard as well. I'm at that same stage. I actually did pretty good until I forgot there was someone with an axe close to Frederick. Oopsies. So close. *sigh*
Only disadvantage right now is really not having any way of buying Reeking Boxes yet. Since I don't have DLC anyway, it's the only way for me to level my units outside of story. *_*

Be careful, reeking box are waaaaay more expensive on hard/lunatic. They're 4700 gold each I believe.

Oh snap. I'll have to see when I get there. This will take some extra careful planning, but I'm determined to do it successfully. *_*

Well I made it to Chapter 7 so far now. I need master seals as I maxed Sumia already QQ.
DLC's sure take the pain off of hard mode. Without that, Hard mode would be insanely difficult to do.

Well, it is hard mode for a reason. Hopefully the DLC isn't taking the "hard" out of hardmode.

any form of grinding makes the game easier. Even Lunatic+ is no exception.

Well, yeah, there's no doubt about that. I guess the DLC's just meant to make that faster. I may get the DLC soon, but considering I'm doing a draw-along, it might not be a good idea to get too far ahead too fast. Meep.

EDIT: Is the dlc on the 3ds market or do they have cards at gamestop/eb games? :llama_what:

You go through the portal that appears after Chapter 5 and you buy all the DLCs in there.

Not really, you have enemy units with ridiculous skills, there are times where no matter what you do, you cannot win, because lun + rolls random skills to enemies, if on the first mission you have an axe enemy rolled with hawkeye and vantage+
You are fucked.
Grinding on lun+ is pretty much the only thing you can do to win, no way in hell otherwise unless the RNG is being gracious.
If you grind on hard, it is pretty much a steamroll, if you grind on lun, you feel accomplished, if you grind on lun+, well, pretty much needed.
I cant even get to chapter 5 on lun, too much RNG.

Well even then, you have to do 2x+ as much grind for Hard than you would do for Normal. I need to quickly get access to those Master Seals/Children zzzz.
Otherwise, there's a limit to just how strong I can get. I think I'm at a good point unit strength wise as the last couple missions weren't too bad. I'm not pairing up units as much this time though as I need every little move I can get to ensure I kill the enemies without losing anyone and I can't rely on double attack too much as there's times where it doesn't activate at all which could screw me over.
Of course Lissa I usually pair up cause she's a weak healer who can't attack and only has a small amount of hp + defense :/

I don't think you understand the difference between Lunatic and Lunatic + compared to Normal and Hard difficulty. Normal is literally easy mode to the point where I can send Lissa into the front lines and use her as a tank, and Hard being babby's first fire emblem strategizing. Neither of those two should need grinding in order to beat.
Lunatic and Lunatic + on the other hand are much more horrible. You can see the difference between Lunatic and Hard immediately. On Hard difficulty Chrom can probably fuck up the entire map by himself. On Lunatic the weakest unit on the map will two shot him on average, and have a small chance of critting him for a one shot. Lunatic + is a whole different story with all the overpowered skills the enemies get.

Well that depends on how good you are at the game :/
I tend to be horrible with this kind of thing in general :/ Only managed to get through the previous fire emblems by sacrificing units. This is the one fire emblem that I'm actually putting in effort to keeping all the characters alive.
At this point I'm merely trying to challenge myself a little bit more and unlock all of the support conversations.
I guess I'm more of a casual gamer when it comes to these kinds of things while giving myself a little bit of a challenge now and then. Just not too much of a challenge to throw me into a fit of rage and chuck my DS.
Hard Mode is that little bit of challenge that is tricky enough to make me put in effort but not bad enough to make me rage quit.
I don't forsee myself doing Lunatic or Lunatic+ ever :/

I never even played a Fire Emblem game before this one, so that should give you an idea about where I'm at. For people who know what they're doing, have experience with skills, different kinds of units, weapons, etc., I'm sure hard is no problem. For me, hard is...hard. I am a no-one-must-die person so I take extra turns to keep the weaker unites from getting hurt, especially since I haven't gotten to the point where I can grind. Since I'm doing that draw-along, I'm really slowing down...and Lugi's Mansion just came out, so that's also distracting. 8D
