Quote from Osayidan;1046808:
I'd see the colapse of NK as an economic oppurtunity more than a problem, it just has to be handled properly and as soon as possible after the collapse.
Give everyone jobs to build up their own infrastructure and agriculture there.
I just don't know if SK will technically "own" the land of NK if NK stops existing, the whole concept depends on that.
If NK stopped existing wouldn't the whole thing become one big Korea?

That's what I assume, but I don't know if that's how it really works.

It would make sense.
It happened with Vietnam. North, South, then just one big Nam.
(Granted that was the worst possible outcome at the time but that's the only example I got.)

it's pretty much whoever steps up to claim North Korea
which is most likely south Korea because of all the old Koreans whose family was separated because of the war
Osayidan, it'll still cost a lot of money to modernize the damn place
It's mostly grass except for the capital
which the U.S. and South Korea are likely to demolish anyways
The only resource are metals, which will cost a lot of money to set up large scale mining equipment and train the North Koreans to use them.

Or, there won't be a North Korea because they'll launch a nuke, and the U.S. or China will respond by launching over 9,000 nukes and obliterating the entire country.

there's different size nukes guys...
it's not difficult to manufacture nukes that specifically will destroy just Pyongyang
then again, Obama's hesitant with nuclear foreign policy
and it shouldn't be difficult to intercept North Korea's missiles

North Korea has always been insane.

Makes me think that the leaders of this world are nothing but Kindergartners.

Stuff like this makes me want to isolate myself in the depths of Canada.
I don't see why we're receiving so much aggression. We threaten a retaliating act because we feel threatened by something. And yet- we are being called aggressors. Does North Korea not realize that we're trying to make peace? What do they think the UN is doing?
arrogance + Brain washing + past prejudice = North Korea

Man, if we don't use North Korea as an excuse to just wipe a country off the face of the planet, then what the hell do we even have nukes for?

there's is no point for anyone to have nukes
they're just there because not every country would agree to disarm their nukes.
If one country has nukes, everyone wants nukes "just in case"

Wait til a giant asteroid heads toward earth, then you'll be glad we have nukes.
