Wait til a giant asteroid heads toward earth, then you'll be glad we have nukes.
But modern science makes it relatively easy to detect when asteroids or meteors are coming, and all it takes is a little ping to set it off course.

Looks like we're good then.
This is the most unscientific post I've read all week.
Blowing one up is not a good idea... instead of 1 big ass pieces of rock flying towards you, you now have thousands of slightly smaller but also deadly pieces of rock.
unless your using it on the inside of a giant asteroid i doubt it would blow it into 1000's of tinier ones maybe a couple hundred but it prob wouldnt be that bad not to mention im pretty sure they're not that stupid to literally launch it DIRECTLY at said asteroid either... blowing it up close to a side would prob change its direction enough through concussion hopefully
I have my doubts on the Korean matter. What they are doing is illogical. From China's stand point, if North Korea fight and lost, China will be surrounded by US allies from all side except north. One has to wonder if there isn't more to this piece of news.

North Korea has always been a buffer to prevent escalating issues in Eastern Asia.
