Pupper and Shooter, yes, but Fighter is great for PvP. In fact, it is by far the most powerful skillset in that regard, at least in duels.
Also, lol @ mages being the ones who benefit most from heavy armor, unlike almost every other rpg ever.
Puppets wire snare bypasses the entire pvp percentage if I remeber correctly unless they patched that lol.

Light armor: everyone except mages/alchemists that give two shits about dex
Heavy armor: mages/alchemists (lel i can sit there in my suit of armor and spam my big spells with zero penalty and no stun unlike literally every RPG made because only Devkitty would forget one of the BASIC rpg balance conventions)
Still need to find out more about chaincasting.
Update really helps Flame Burst and hurts WC. Flame Burst with duration reforges will actually be able to chain full charge Flame Bursts and doesn't have that awful MP dependence.
Giants using two-handed swords can use heavy armor. sword mastery balance+decent balance on said two-hander=who needs that much dex?

Fighter is great in duels, because of the skills insanely high damage percentages and their stun. I think they need to lower the damage to compensate for the high stun.
But still, Devcat may need to revamp the combat system again for PvP.

Two-handers aren't exactly known for balance, but with sword mastery, combat mastery, a bit of dexterity, and maybe balance enchants on accessories or your shield it wouldn't be much of an issue. Still no puppetry or ranged though.

Seems fair since elves do get to run further with move casting...
That's kinda not helpful, you know. No-one is going to run excessively long distances with spells loaded, Elf or otherwise. Most players would likely not move any distance where Elf speed would make much difference at all, really. It's certainly not enough of an advantage to make things 'fair'.

I agree, with just 500 stamina you would lose 15 per second for mere movement. Most of the time mages only need to move a little bit for re-alignment or to get into range anyways.

Stamina has no use for mages anyway, now this does.
Done.

It still seems off that I can get by using anything without stamina pots except a mild walk with ice spear. No loves for hybrids? </3

You say this, and you got to use you Mana for nothing but Mana shield all these years? Seriously, mana means nothing to a range/melee/bard/gunner/puppeteer other then a second HP bar, wile that same mana to Mages meant the world.

Gunner uses mana to load skills.

It means the world to me and i'm not a mage. Problem?
