  I was disgusted by the fact that everyone seemed surprised that women said yes, but NO ONE was surprised that men did, like they think that all men are by default rapists and no one should be surprised that men said rape was ok.
  
  And I find that really offensive.

  The thing is, you hear this stuff over and over again, so it's no surprise when you see these percentages with men, but you would think women would always be like "No, no, no, no"
  So seeing these percentages is shocking.

  It's really only offensive if you imply that all men are rapists or something. Shit, I'm a guy and I never find it surprising that men tend to be the ones who try and excuse rape the most. It's sad and disgusting, but it is true. If anything, you should be pissed at your fellow men for acting like they can't control their fucking dicks and then trying to blame the victims for it.
  
  Now, anyone who tries to use the fact that men are usually rapists as en excuse for misandry are full of shit. But anyone who tries to use that as an excuse to victimize men who actually are rapists or are supportive of rapists are also full of shit.   No one that is smart blames the victim. The problem is, very few people are actually smart and open minded. In order to become smart and open-minded, you have to work at it. It is infinantly easier to lash out at someone than to open a book or read about politics on the internet. Many, many people are lazy like that.
  
  The main problem I see is that societies ideas change slowly. No one wants to be outcasted, so they try to fit in. sometimes this is good, but many times fitting in means acting racist and stupid. And the more time you spend acting stupid, the less time you spend learning, so it eventually becomes the reality.

  I don't know why people would assume that "She was asking for it, because of how she dressed, or how she acted." No one would ever ask for that or want to be raped, and no matter how you act of dress, it won't change that, and if people are too fucking ignorant to realize that, then that's sad. Also, people don't realize this, but rape is not an act of sexual desire, its an act of violence and aggression, so if a woman dressed sexual then it still wouldn't really be a factor. This is also one of the times I think abortion is appropriate. If someone got raped, I doubt you'd want to keep the baby, it would pretty much be a reminder to you for the rest of your life that you were raped. I don't think abortion should be used as a form of birth control, but when sex isn't consensual, I believe that if they want to get rid of the baby, its totally justified. Also, if you think that they shouldn't be allowed to abort the baby, fuck you, its not your body its her's. People can argue that if you abort the fetus, that it's still a "baby" or that its against the bible, first off, it's not a baby, its a fetus, which becomes a baby, second off, people can argue its against the bible, but with that logic, no one should get divorced or get hair cuts, also, not everyone is christian, I'm atheist, so get your bible 'logic' out of my face. People might say that men and woman are "equal" but sexism is still a prudent issue, and woman still don't have equal rights, which pisses me off royally. People need to realize, rape is never ok, it's never justified, and anyone who thinks it can be justified with reasons like "he led her on" or whatever, is a piece of shit.

  If a man is armed the LAST thing you want to do is fight back, a lot of attackers carry knifes. You might not see a knife because they can be concealed. Martial arts is great, but it's nothing against a weapon. If a rapist feels like you're going to fight back, they might run, but the might pull out a weapon and stab you to death.
  
  Rape is an act of violence.
  
  If you can run, run, if you can't, do whatever you can to survive the attack. I you get a clear shot to the groin go that would probably be your best bet. A tiny woman may know martial arts, but once she's on the ground against a man who is 5x stronger than her, fighting and resisting can cost her her life.

  Ahhh, I disagree with this to an extent. Martial arts are helpful for exercise, not for actual self defense. When you're a 5'3" girl being assaulted by a 6' 200lb guy, no amount of jujutsu will help you. Drunk and angry men have level 3 Heavy Stander and will superarmor anything you do to them. One flick of their wrist and your neck is snapped off.
  
  You should scream for help, struggle, but never "confront". Better raped than dead. I've been to so many martial arts schools where girls gain unnecessary self confidence because they broke some wooden boards and can spar with a bigger man. Its never the same in a real fight. Don't ever jeopardize your life by overestimating yourself.
