Japanese MMOs in general are much more expensive than western(-ified) MMOs, so they do already have those set standards, which North Americans do not. >_<
Though I can see it's become a trend for MMOs to charge more and more for premium stuff in f2p games, especially games coming from Korea/east asia.

JP costs more. I think it was 45k NX in NA dollars for JP.

I love how so many people are genuinely surprised at this.
Greed is Nexon's middle name. What did you expect?

and people are complaining about the bags being 10k NX? God forbid they lived in Japan....dear lord. Anyways, my words are lost on most people here so I'm not going to continue to complain about the complainers.

Are you allowed to buy more than 4 bags and put them all on one character?

Poeple in Japan are generally much more willing to spend on virtual goods than North Americans, though.
Back when I played a Japanese virtual avatar game/site (Tinierme), they charged us 75 cents for one spin of a certain type of gacha, and that same type of gacha would cost 300 yen(bit more than $3 at the time) in the Japanese version.
Nexon(as with many other east Asian games) is really trying to bring that trend of high spending on virtual goods to NA, where it's not as common. >_<

Or in Terra with something like 80$ for a set of clothes.

I had to drop all my Eirawen bags. QQ
Not that I mind since I got them for 100k each. xD

The
Event one is the Personal Shop version of the bag (the one that you can open shops with but you don't summon a small doll, and you need Premium Service to use it
[Image: http://static.nexon.co.jp/mabinogi/Notice_image/Roulette_BAG.jpg]
Basically the event one is just like the DevCat/Eirawen/Personal Shop Bags where you dont summon chibi vocaloids.
while the
Cash Shop version is the summoning the small doll version where Service isn't needed.

You could've sold them or given away to friends. Eirawen bags are drop-tradeable.

...and here I put the effort into hunting a million raccoons for tokens on my alt characters for a crappy 8x8 shop bag I already have.
Fuck you nexon.

It's only upsetting if you didn't see it coming already. I knew it was going to be a devcat bag reskin :smoke: Just enjoy the extra EXP, gold, gifts, and of course the cute miku! Frankly, I'll chuck stupid devcat and have Miku sell my things.

You expect something different from a Korean MMO? High spending of virtual goods is a new model that's rapidly expanding to other MMO's like Runescape, TF2, and Guild Wars 2. I mean comeon guys, this is not something new, if you guys are going to complain like this everytime nexon releases something that's going to cost money you may as well just quit already and play a game that doesn't require as much money.
The people I see complaining the most here are those who have no money to spend to begin with :/ It's a shame that there isn't more people here willing to pay. At least it's far cheaper than JP.

Since it's like Devcat bags, does that mean we have to toss our devcat bags because we can only have one item bag?

Well, if we all shat solid gold bricks I'm sure we would be more than willing to pay.
But when you don't shit gold, $10 for a BAG is fucking insane.
Not to mention the overpriced $2 a piece gacha that contains wonderful items like POTIONS! and ARROWS! Who doesn't want to pay $2 for a stack of arrows or a few HP 50s? 8D

Hey, I didn't get any potions from the gach. Arrows? Well yes, I did get about 10 of those from 50 boxes and I got a lot of "decent" stuff in that like 5 teenies, teeny nao included. 3 Miku hair wigs, 2 of which had oblivion dex. 4 puppets, ragdoll, and other odds and ends.
I don't shat gold bricks either. I'm a programmer and programmers get paid well.
It's called working hard in life.
