The last time I played vindictus, it was even more dead than Dungeon fighter, even during the last holiday event.
I could never find anyone doing anything related to quests, or social activities.
I don't know to be honest, I see vindictus getting shut down the same way DFO is currently being shut down in the not so far off future.

Not sure what channel you go to/what quests and dungeons you're doing o.o
All the 60+ raids and 24 mans are usually alive around the time when all the little children get home from school.

if the game is only surviving on little kids who get home from school... and theres almost no 1 on otherwise its gonna close pretty quickly... aside from maplestory.. that might not even last much longer... ide say another 5 yrs.. at the most..(maplestory)
vindictus might start showing signs of failure in the next year... or so i wonder how popular the Korean version is..

KR version of DFO is still going to be up, NA is closing their version because they couldn't make enough profit.
ALL of the population of Maplestory players hand Nexon their mommy's credit cards, I doubt it's closing anytime soon.
It all depends on Vindictus profits for Nexon. I haven't been catching up with it lately, but last I checked pay2win was pretty popular.

I see a butt load of people on the main channels all the time, maybe you have some type of connection issue?

There are a lot of players. But since there are so many channels it looks empty.
And like Marene said, the 24 man raids and the 60+ raids are usually pretty active, and you could usually find a boat for dungeons you need to quest on, depending on which. Anyway, I'd play but that's entirely up to you. I haven't been completely active but I will in a few weeks.

Yeah, NA Vindictus has a year or two, tops. What's going on here is exactly what a lot of the more elitist Mabi veterans kept wishing for--no new players wanting to stick around [S]and ruin everything[/S]. It'll possibly have longer because Nexon seems determined to go "LOOK HOW PRETTY AND GRITTY OUR NON-ANIME MABI LOOKS," so they'll continue to promote it against all common sense. In a year or two, if it's still here, it's because Nexon is still spamming the defibrillator on a corpse even though the other doctors are pleading for them to call it.

I've seen no problem with the game personally. It's been regularly updated with quality content, and when I made my new Vella I usually saw a party running the quest I needed (although I've been soloing absolutely everything up until this point). Maybe the higher level content (I don't really know above 50 or so) is not very active but I've seen no problems so far.
All I can say is that if you find the game fun, play it. If not, don't. It's that simple.

Wat.
What else is there exactly? There are often parties up and if you go into the first channels there are a lot of players, and many select channels in the higher range are also pretty active. I don't know about PvP since I really haven't checked that out, but imo the game is doing just fine. Nexon regularly holds events and all of last month was full of events, and the game is also updated regularly. The reason I said 60+/24-man raids are active are because they're a pretty large part of the game, and people always do those. Therefore, a lot of the game's end-game community is often raiding and being
active. So no, that's not really that big of an issue if you think about it.
They've been messing up a lot lately with bugs and stuff though, I'll give you that.
Anyway, have you even played Vindictus (long enough to stick around in the higher levels)?

But yea.. how does the game fare for new players? Is there even enough activity for them to make it to the higher level where the veterens are at?

Timotei wrote on 2013-04-29 23:44
Yup, I go on randomly sometimes and help random noobies. So as long as they are friendly.

Not that it concerns anyone.
Level Rush Event is going. Therefore new players should have no Excuses of making it into Higher Levels ^^
But this event is optional also as i like too start from level 1 and work my way up. ^^

That doesn't mean they're going to be skilled enough to participate in high level/skill raids.

Right now your Infering that they have to be Skilled in the First Place.
No they do not. They can either go Classic Hack n Slash. Or Tap and Fire.
And Theirs also a Tutorial. They would also go along the Main Story line until
they find the Strange Traveler in the Inn. Therefore they would also learn along the way.
And who also said anything about Being in High Level Raids right when you begin?
