  What the hell happend ??
  
  so i got in a duel and i manaaged get the fire stat on manna knuckle to 3 i got hit once and then i tried to snap cast a fire ball and said not high enough fire stat so i cast fire bolt a few more times and it went back to 1/3
  
  and then after that none of my skills loaded and i was stuck watching this guy just spam basic atatck on me best i could do was move between attacks but not fight back

  I think one of the times I used my knuckles it randomly reset the stat, but I may have been just not paying attention to what I was doing.
  More than likely you used a bolt of a different element before trying to snap cast fireball.
  
  As for the none of your skills loading thing, that happens sometimes with knuckles, along with occasionally being unable to move. Loading focused fist, then using or canceling it should fix it.

  The question is, why pvp in the first place? Pvp is pretty much dead, you would be better off leveling or something.

  and if its not a magic weapon why have i been ranking magic weapon mastery with just this ?

  It's considered a "magic weapon" because you can cast intermediate spells with it. It doesn't provide bonus or spells like wads and staves would, so even though it is a "magic weapon", it'd be the least effective to use if you were to use it for actual magic. The weapon is meant to be a secondary weapon, allowing you to use 3 skill sets at a time.

  are there any AI i can get forpheonix to prevent it from being killed or fighting stuff so that i can have it stand guard and ressurect me if i die ?

  That's a really subjective question. You can have your phoenix to be in "Command Mode" so it doesn't attack random things.
  
  Personally, I wouldn't say the crystals are worth it, nor is the phoenix. Why? There are cheaper things called nao soul stones, and non-pay-to-win version called guardian soul stone from the seal shop.
  
  You really could have use the NX you spent on phoenix more wisely, at least in my opinion.
  
  Also, just for your benefits, please do try to use the wiki more often. Even though this thread is dedicated to your questions, admins and several others have already noted that you should still try to use the wiki beforehand. Please be less lazy.

  Command mode, or a defensive AI is probably best. Don't count on it surviving, though, even though it has decent HP. Remember, its special skill, the flame of resurrection, has to be commanded by the player before the player dies.

  I'd like to take a moment to point out, to avoid confusion:
  

  
  
  • Flame of Resurrection doesn't require Fire Erg Crystals. When used without them, it functions like a normal phoenix feather, and the buff lasts 30 minutes instead of indefinitely. This, by itself, is worth a phoenix or two.
    
  • [S]Fire Erg Crystals are actually cheaper than Nao Soul Stones. At absolute cheapest, Nao stones are 233 NX per, while Fire Erg Crystals are 100 per.[/S] (Disregard that. Wiki apparently never updated the cost after Nexon added an extra 0 to it. They could have really just left it like it was, then made the erg crystals always there, instead of being limited edition like the pet...) The main difference is that Fire Erg Crystals have to be used beforehand, and they effectively have a cooldown.
    

  
  
  Though, as I look at the main website's version of the item shop, I can't seem to find Fire Erg Crystals for sale at all. Not sure if they're still in the client version or not.
