I haven't been rushing through it because I know there's no way I can take the boss.

By the looks of it, I'm not going to be finishing G11 until I get my Mana Shield to rank 6, Firebolt to 1, and Magic Mastery to 1 so that I can go around and tank stuff.

Mana Shield does wonders for you at the final boss, even at Rank F. @_@

Bring lots of potions too!

Finished the final yesterday with the help of a Royal Alchemist. Seriously even they couldn't dodge the breath attacks. They just rely on 4k+ crit smashes and chug mana pots to tank the breath attacks.

I got to Claimh Solas, but WM spam didn't keep him from attacking. Eventually, Cai was killed, and I lost. Does anybody have any tips?

Don't Windmill spam first of all. Only do that when it's about to swipe at you with its arm. The reason why is because if you're in Deadly and it uses Stomp, you have very little chance of escaping it. Deadly without time to pot beyond 0 HP = dead.

If you can't attack, and it starts to draw in dark air, summon a mount and run away. It's going to do Light Sword. Alternatively, if you can time it correctly, use Windmill at the moment before a sword hit you. I wouldn't recommend the Windmill one because it shoots about 8 swords, and there's only you and Cai instead of a party of 8.

Oddly, all of Claimh Solas's attacks are weak against Cai, so it'll take a while for him to die. Make sure you bandage him (this is a bit tough to do since you have to be right next to Cai), because Cai's strongest attack against Claimh is Life Drain, which is where he'll get most of his HP recovery. It won't happen often enough, so you do have to heal him. If you have a low rank Healing, well... hope you can click fast.

Keep Cai's HP going 1/2th to 3/4th (so that Cai can still use Life Drain for dmg), and Claimh Solas's Life Drain is weak against him too, so don't worry too much about that. Staying alive is a higher priority in this boss battle than dealing fast DPS, as long as you don't let Claimh Solas's Life Drain absorb your HP to replenish its own.

Bring your Brionac along with a cylinder and a couple of spark crystals. When boss battle starts, use the cylinder to cast Spark on yourself and switch to your Brionac weapon. Use awakening of light and you'll see about 3 interfaces on the left. Click on the icon that looks like a Spear of Light and use it on the boss. It'll actually be a Spear of God attack that does overwhelming damage. Run during the cooldown and use Spear of God again. It should take about 2-4 Spear of Gods depending on difficulty.

Edit: And as a tip, save your trans for this battle but don't use it immediately when the boss starts (unless you transed at 5:50 or something). Use it only when you reach deadly from the dash attack (in fact I think you should avoid this attack if you can since it's more deadly than his normal swipes). The only other problem is Light swords. Use trans+mana shield to survive it (as well as trans animation to avoid a few swords if possible). Maybe use a pet and separate it from you (via swiping Claim or sitting) to take some of the sword hits so they aren't mostly directed to you and Cai. The ideal distance you should stay from Claim should be about 2000-2400 range (about LLB range) so that you can avoid any attack except Light Swords as well as use your Spear of God.
