TAKE THAT MODDER PEOPLE THINGIES.
Quote from Yakumo Yukari;1099625:
I'm glad that modding being against the ToS is now being enforced. Modding is stupid.
Quote from Yakumo Yukari;1099637:
It's more of a case of modding in any way, shape, or form gives an unfair advantage over other people.
If you want to show off your coding prowess go to a modding forum for single-player games.

Unfair advantage over people who don't mod.
And you wonder why i'm campaigning for Nexon fixing the client - WITHIN the ToS.
Mfw people don't understand this.

Please do.
Modding in any way, shape or form is an unfair advantage and i'm glad that devCAT is taking steps against it.
Quote from Yakumo Yukari;1099645:
It's different and you know it. Directly tampering with the client is one thing. Having a good computer and/or internet is another. Even with a good computer and internet some things are static, like the set effect lag, and Tara.

This is an excellent post, especially the bolded part. +rep
Stop resorting to ad hominems.
Mods offer unfair advantages over other players and it's against the terms of service. You can't justify it.

I totally agree with you about the pay2keepgoods thing. That's not a proper solution. A proper solution would be to fix all of the crashing and lag and everything like that.
But on the other hand, modding in any way, shape or form is against the ToS and offers an advantage that other people don't have, because it's not the same client that Nexon distributes. And I doubt that most people who mod are that responsible either - Most people with mods would use something to give them some kind of other advantage, like CP reading or map editing or animation removal or something like that.
The bottom line is it's wrong and i'm glad that they're taking action.
For a person trying to make a point, you come off as arrogant and rude.
As for modding, I would say that Nexon are very much for mods that help you increase your latency. These are things they won't ban you for. They'll get you for the things that affect other people's gameplay. Things like font changing or erasing all of Tara to make it faster, they don't care for that. That's your client, your gaming experience. Who cares?
Sure, stick to the ToS rules if you want, but just because something's against the ToS, it doesn't mean it necessarily harms other players' gaming experience. Not everything that is against the rules is immediately OMG THIS IS BAD!!!!!11
Calm down.
Put yourself in other folks' shoes before casting all this guilt on people who mod. I think that's a better way to express your point while not coming off as an asshole. A lot of people mod because their computers are slow. It's easy to say, well, that's your fault or get another computer. It's another thing to campaign actively for Nexon to help these folks who can't play the game to the best advantage as they would want them to. While you say you already do the latter, I think you could try harder.
You're not better because you don't mod. It doesn't make you a more honest gamer, nor a better person. So please, come off this high horse and learn to speak better to people.
