Not sure what point you're trying to get at here. I've heard the dragon weapons are nearly impossible to make. Unless they're now easy to make as opposed to what everyone said earlier o3o...
I'm saying that the strength of a weapon should be proportional to the time and effort spent to obtain it. If I spend a lot of time and effort in making a weapon strong, it should be stronger than things that have lower time/value on the market.

Blacksmithing revamp and gacha deletion please.
Also, snowie posting reminded me of instruments. WE SHOULD HAVE INSTRUMENT EGOS

Oh to clarify:
Getting Dragon Materials isn't really part of the challenge.
It's ranking the blasted associated life skill.
Whoever reaches rank 1 engineering or magic crafting will dominate the Mabinogi market.

And as for the different types of egos. I have a ring bow ego that I reforged myself from rank 3 and have been raising. So it's not that I don't like them at all.
Spirit weapons are far more difficult to rank than dragon weapons will be to obtain. The most difficult part about making the dragon weapons is ranking Magic Crafting and Engineering. There's also nothing that would prevent a new merchant from simply buying the weapon from other players or otherwise obtaining the weapon from an inevitable gachapon (enchanted and prereforged)
It cost me around 100m and two years to rank my spirit weapon. Nothing should come close to egos. The advantage of upgraded/enchanted weapons would be that they're easier to obtain and that you can only ever hold one spirit weapon.
It would be pointless for DevCat to add new spirit weapon types until they rebalance the current spirit weapons. Otherwise, those new weapons would simply become a very bad investment of time and resources, ala cylinder egos.

If you have the money to burn Muramasa is better as it comes out at 184max and 49% crit. 19% crit isn't going to cut it for higher difficulties unless you lower it's protection with broniac.
Which actually looks like it would beat the rainbow beam and upgraded onion.

Not sure that i'm having any trouble with crit at all.
What I *am* having trouble with is getting the actual equipment (IE: Said upgraded onions with enchants, beams, titles, whatever)

I found a tear-jerker garden upgraded green onion in Mari for like 8mil yesterday. I got a 180max 50% crit Rainbow Beam from last gach without breaking much of a sweat >.>
The beams had actually dropped to the 5mil and less range while the gach was out (Price has probably gone back up since then). The amount of time/money ranking an ego to get the same crit and 4 measly max damage is not worth it.
For me anyways. Why should I pour millions and lots of time into ranking an ego for just 4 more damage? Ego buff, please and thank you. I rest my case here.

Well, if
he grinds as much on it as
he says
he will, it won't be long before the first one on Tarlach rules the market.

8mil and 5mil aren't really cheap to most people. :chomp2:

and neither is raising a spirit weapon. You're going to spend more than 5mil-8mil overtime ranking an ego to max stats.
Or you'll spend 2 years+ leveling it.
@Yukari saying crit isn't a problem.
What's your crit barehanded? It is suggested that you have 120% crit minimum for Lord Difficulty and higher end game content. Also how much have you spent on your ego so far? Time and money wise.
