  I meant dedicating a weapon slot specifically for full on Barding and actually ranking the tab for more than skills needed for splashing (AKA just Singing, Vivace, March, and Harvest to R1).

  Yeah. I do like though how Phantasmal Chorus and Encore makes instruments a 100% viable weapon slot, though. The ability to stack using Chorus and Encore's ability to make solo Chorus stacking possible is what sold it for me.

  Eh, I don't think it makes them as useless as you'd think. Out of all the people I know and all the randoms I've partied with, I've hardly seen any random yahoos with rank 1 overture trying to buff, even high level groups. Besides, Upgraded/reforged mix/instrument > Sing any day. Phantom > Sing any day. XD Sing is GREAT for solo, but not for parties in my opinion.

  Yeah. If you are solo and already have 2 dedicated slots, then singing is better. If you're in a party, you don't really need two weapon slots since you have others to cover for you and Chorus encourages multiple bards to plan and stack their songs. With Encore, you can even plan secondary songs for each of them. Ex: Bard 1 - Overture (Main) and Enduring (Encore) and Bard 2 - Vivace (Main) and March (Encore).
  
  Admit it, you know you want all 4 of those buffs on at once when partying.

  If you're in a party yes, if solo it's really that great and sing would be much better. Seeing that Overture is based on your current min and max dmg. Instruments/mic's don't hit very hard compared to swords/bows/lances/knuckles/bars.
  
  Giving yourself 20% extra of 350+ max > 25% or so of 240-279max

  Did a test.
  
  My inspiring overture (was just the first one out) gives 37.18%.
  
  My Lyre max is 364. With that Overture, it's 499. That's 37%.
  My control bar max is 502. With that Overture, it's 688. That's 37%.
  
  Trying again:
  
  Excellent performance is 31.46%
  New Lyre max is 478 = 31.31%
  New Handle max is 659 = 31.27%
  
  So, uh, what you're saying seems to be completely unfounded. :|

  You can take that one step further and say that it's only when you can't switch weapons. For example, if you were doing MA in a low number party or something. You can overture at the beginning and change weapons/set up comfortably. Then you can sing when it wears off (If you have spare time and arn't BLAM BLAM BLAMING things)

  Personally, I mainly solo play, so singing is like a godsend to me. Now I can buff up with both Beserk and Overture for maximum overkill! May as well throw a Weapon Potion or Bone Dragon Chip on top of that.
  
  I'll be able to easily have full access to fighter/magic with the new Sulien Knuckles (at the sacrifice of damage), access to Melee via my usual dual wield stuff, and then access to Bard skills via Singing all with just 2 weapon slots :D
