  There are no shady methods involved. I forget the exact method, but it involves getting the Magnum Shot keyword from one of the Fillia NPCs.

  Mabi needs to take more cues from animal crossing. Add more life skill-only items. Exclusives. More home customization through crafting. etc....
  
  More friendship making with NPCs. Needs more animal crossing, or *cough*FANTASYlife*cough*
