  If you have money and time, try out figure drawing classes. I do them once a week for about 2 hours and it's really fun. (You get to draw naked people)
  I would have more but tumblr makes my comp go slow thanks obama care.

  aaaaadsfadf I really can't get over what a great feeling it is when people are enjoying what I've drawn. I hope I'll continue to improve and stick with things. I don't see myself quitting anytime soon, I love drawing farr too much and it's only been eight days.
  
  Anyways here is my day 8 piece that I actually made as a gift for my boyfriend. Here's hoping he likes it when I show him tomorrow. [x

  This one is definitely one of my favorites so far.
  You make me want to start practicing traditional stuff again. Unfortunately, while I do have some of the tools, I lack the right paper to do these on. My sketchbooks are not adequate for this. </3

  Mentos has the right idea, for progress as well. (referring to quote above)
  
  I've been awake and practicing since about 5 A.M, it's now almost 7 P.M. and I'm working on completed pieces now. Although, I can't do much else because of my health so I'm at home most of the day usually which gives me the opportunity to do something like this.
  
  That being said, I'm also a firm believer in progress through effort. There's so many hours in the day, taking even fifteen- thirty minutes of time to work on a skill is all it takes. Progress might be slower, but still, progress.

  On another note - Try out posemaniacs or find some really nice portrait photos.
  What i've been doing in the last couple of figure drawing lessons was drawing out the person's head (Inside to out), then, you get the shapes blocked in for the shadows AND then use a fine liner that is fine with water (or) pastels. After that, just dab some water on your brush (Yeah you need a brush) and then just wash it all out.
  I've had a lot of fun with that.
  I'll also need some help from you tbh.

  Most artists suggest realism to beginners anyways.
  For your next portrait try working on a grid and get it as close to the picture as possible (if you're using photos).
