  SMN can take care of it if there is one in the party. I'm sure most raid parties don't ask if their WHM has eye, double SCH party= someone better have stoneskin.
  
  I've played both SCH and WHM to 50 and prefer WHM for healer role.

  Duration 30 seconds, targets one player, 120 second cooldown. Theres no real "taking care of it" if only one or 2 people have it, it has a pretty large cooldown lol. Most raid parties that care normally have WHM+SCH composition and most that care will want their WHM to have eye for an eye (as in those that are doing progression or end game raiding).
  
  Don't get me wrong, its all personal preference but trying to compare the 2 based soley on heal power is pretty unfair considering not every heal class is just a variant of whm. I also have a level 50 whm so I know how it plays as well, I just prefer SCH especially after u get it to 60, it get a lot better. Though I'll probably end up leveling whm to 60 eventually after I get the will to level another class since I just got DRG to 60.

  Well, I guess we might all as well not rank our cross classes skills at all since, "another party member can take care of it because i'm too lazy to be effective myself". SS was nerfed anyway, rip.
  
  Also the thing about SCH isn't even Eye for an Eye, but Virus(+Supervirus trait) and Selene. We're talking about a flat 15% reduction of the enemy STR/DEX/INT/MND for 10~12s and a pet that brings Haste with a duration of 30s + a raid-wide Esuna. I cannot stretch how ridiculously OP those two skills are.
  
  Combined with Galvanize + SacredSoil + Stoneskin etc... The amount of ultility a SCH brings to a party is huge.
  
  If you're talking about pure heals, then sure, WHM is indeed the most powerful of the healing classes (and as a SCH I prefer not having another SCH in the party). If you're talking about everything else however, WHM is mediocre at it. In fact, "non-existent" would be a more fitting description...

  I completely forgot about those points, thank you for pointing them out. I honestly forget virus is a thing sometimes due to having a smn in our static and they like to virus in progression.
  
  To be perfectly honest, I find SCH's essential in progression for end game raids while I find whm's simply convenient to have due to the mitigation factor SCH's bring to raid. Back in t13 progression the first clears literally REQUIRED a SCH due to the fact it was an instant wipe without succor+soil every Gigaflare. And after they buffed SCH's aoe heals it now makes WHM almost unneeded in a lot of content only making them convenient for their massive aoe heals.
  
  tl;dr WHM is good for what they are, but so is SCH however I would even go as far to say that SCH is more useful than WHM in most instance at this point.

  Back when I played actively, it was optimal to have both a WHM and a SCH in the party for the srs bsns stuff. So this debate about which of the two classes is better is rather silly IMO... unless the newer srs bsns stuff isn't balanced as well as it was in the past.

  I prefer being a WHM simply to avoid having 2 scholars in a party. I feel like it's way less effective than being queued with another WHM. ...and I want to avoid those situations as much as possible.

  It's still optimal to have WHM and SCH comp for serious stuff, for other stuff it honestly doesnt matter. Currently theres nothing out that tests the limits of either healer cause its all super easy.

  The class is extremely lack luster compared to SCH and WHM. They are apparently getting a buff but atm astro is really not very good for progression.
