I have a question; What does the Regis/Levi Guard Cylinder look like? I haven't been able to find any pictures of it.

The regular is like a wooden shield with a cylinder sticking out of the middle slightly.
The hero one is metal. Uh...I'll try and find some pics.

How so? Ribis guards can be upgraded for critical, this'll solve critical problems for alchemists that haven't invest AP into Will/Luck skills.

But to you as an end game alchemist, would you still upgrade it for crit or stam reduction for more damage?

Critical of course.

I think i would do it for stam reduction. End game crit post treasure hunter is already going to exceed 150-170 with a cylinder.
More if you use restored and such.

^I would also do it for the stam reduction. Critical is so abundant nowadays.

I wouldn't use either Stamina Reduction or Critical upgrades.
1. Critical upgrades are useless because I hold 145% critical with my max damage set alone.
2. Stamina reduction upgrades only reduce stamina consumption by 18%. I won't even notice that when i'm in combat. Stamina potions, Champion, Demi God and natural stamina regeneration outside of combat easily recover lost stamina.
That leaves me with the following:
0~0: 5% Melee Passive Defense
1~2: 5% Ranged Passive Defense
1~2: 5% Magic Passive Defense
2~2: Artisan, which gives at best
+20 HP
+50 MP
+7% Critical
You rarely encounter magic and ranged attacks and a +5~10% chance of shunting them is abysmal. The +5% chance of shunting melee attacks pales in comparison to the Targe Shield's +17% melee passive defense. The artisan upgrade is actually pretty decent, providing up to 1.6 Flame Burst damage and +15 Water Cannon damage. It also gives some critical and stamina, but those don't really mean anything.

Also to add to the whole stamina thing, come time master chef there's 2 new skills that will give an extra 180 Stamina if you r1 them (Find Material and Festival Food)
I already have 757 stam as is and I haven't bothered ranking the skills that boost stamina.

I thought shield ping upgrades was always an obvious choice.
