Well,it was in a mission that gives you a 'supply' of icemines. And once someone decided to set up icemines through a dungeon while they were ahead of everyone...and they watched the carnage after making them go off.
but anyway,icemines = deadly fun...yet still deadly. :2thumb:
rofl that makes me wanna try on a ciar normal run.

Believe or not, Ranged can be the worst combo-killer in this game if in inexperienced hands. I luckily party with people who can control their Ranged skill sets well.
Heck, Alchemy works better with Magic. Flame Burst + Blaze is really useful.
Ranged works well with... well, Ranged.

I wish we can tank like Spartans and hide in the shade when arrows blot out the sun.

I seriously thought of that when you said that.
Then I got the 300 reference.

For whomever is 'mirrored' in the Shadow Cast City SM,everything will harm them. (and due to occurrences, others in the party too) :XD:

Ranged isn't so bad, If in capable hands...
For instance I usually pick off other archers so my partner can focus on taking out the melee enemies.
Ranged goes best with pets actually, well pets with a good AI anyways.
Also it's more suited for soloing and support, it's a pretty versatile skill.

I kind of really hate ice spear. And also when people smash monsters when I'm trying to WM them. This happens to me almost every time I dungeon with a group. What's even worse is when their smash does less damage than my WM. =_='

windmill doesn't break thunder, smash does with the flying invincibility frame.

A melee who doesn't know what they're doing....... is worse than an archer. They'll run in and be like "HAY ILL WM DIS MOB" while has unlimited multi... and it will kill him because he can't ohko. The mobs are all spread to the corners/rim of the room and now the range people will be aggroed heavily.
Also: Smash + Thunder... hahaha.. Several times I've had teammates smash and absolutely rape my thunders. Even worse, with a r1 smash rendering my entire cast useless. >>"
I'd say capable rangers are extremely helpful to anyone. The trick is learning how to play a support role rather than playing the damager role which usually goes to melee/mage. Picking off enemies that are barely alive from a windmill is a good example, when in multi-aggro. If you time your shots right, you can actually help a melee continually smash the enemy dead. With support shot in G12, this will be a very useful party tactic.
Range and mages don't work quite as well together, but it does work. Moreof, rangers aren't as beneficial at being a support role. But there's not much you can mess up, aside from hitting a monster in thunderstun or that you're about to blaze.
With a high ranked Frozen Blast or Flamer, a good ranger will shiiiine. Also: Crash Shot with Frozen Blast.... Muahahaha... hahahahaha... If you can get even two enemies frozen, goodbye mob.
About barrier spikes... I think any good ranger should get it to r5 themselves and invest in a good clay cylinder.(I believe one of the spikes upgrades have already been found on our server)
So yeah, dats my opinion on range. I've been playing it long enough to know that it's just all about how you time your shots. A ranger who can play into others' combos and techniques is invaluable as opposed to annoying. One who lets out their arrows like a lunatic....... You guys know how that is.
Also: A low ranked blaze makes everyone lose.

How come all rangers aren't you?
You should make an old spice version of you for attracting meelers.:blood:

Smash/Windmill breaks Thunder.
Windmill does not break thunder. As long the initial bolt hits you can wm them as much as you want.
Also Ice Spear can be useful as more of a safety net. I know I had someone using it four our guild when we first started doing peaca runs. We'd mob all the zombies in the corner and have one person freeze them. Everyone else would pull a WM the moment the ice broke just before the mage froze them again (this was before alchemy of course. Now you could combo that with a flamer or just have a flamer stun the mob.)

I actually hate how other skills break other ones.
I mean, sometimes I get caught up partying with random people. I kinda like to just smash/wm everything, so if their a mage, I kinda feel bad. I accidentally will smash their thunder or wm them out of a group.
