Do you believe in the 5 second rule..? In my opinion, no.
If your food is dropped in mud for some reason, that kinda defeats the purpose of the 5 second rule.
But! I will eat off the floor if it's in my house and if it's not sticky...I would rather not do that in public places tho.

5 sec? I thought it was more like 3. I probably wouldn't. Although I use to all the time when I was younger.

Is there a get a tissue, pick it up, and throw it out rule?
Since I believe in that.
Though if I drop something onto my desk, I'll still eat it.

I only believe in this rule when I'm in my kitchen, and I drop something that won't have stuff stick to it.
Under any other circumstance, no.

You do know that the five second rule was dis proven on myth busters right? No matter what length of time the food is on the ground it will still pick up the things that are on the ground.

Wut about dropping on snow?
-
Invertex wrote on 2010-08-19 17:07
Snow is cold, and picking stuff up from it involves touching it.
So no.
That and it's percipitation so who knows what's in it.

Dropping ice cream in snow = adding more flavors.

I dropped an oreo on the floor. It was there for not even a second, more like half a second before I picked it up. It already looked dirty so I threw it in the trash.

Didn't Mythbusters already test this? Wasn't it pretty much as soon as it touched the floor it had germs and stuff on it?
