What I think you may be forgetting is the fact that the AP earned per mission goes down the more you repeat it. Which means I get 0-10AP per mission now, which pretty much means I wasted 10 minutes or so (and 2 tokens and a boat ride) just to earn a Trans that won't even save me 10 minutes.
It's not bad, but I think learning how to defeat whatever boss you're trying to beat is much more efficient.
Then again I've made 3.1k AP so far in a week, so maybe not (though I'd be investing into skills more).
It does go down, yes. I have a few missions that refuse to give me anymore AP too. But by then, you'll be so used to the mission, why would you need trans in it? Also, if I remember correctly, later missions give a lot more AP to the point where 10 AP is usually negligible to some players.
I still point out Meditation. The cap right now is rA, and that costs 1430 AP to obtain. Daunting at first, but you're not meant to rank it up so soon anyway (which is why I pointed out trans is not spammable in the beginning of your Vindictus character's life). At rA, the waiting time is reduced by 9 minutes out of 60, so that's 51 minutes. On average, a player should be away from playing the game for maybe 10+ hours. So that's 600 minutes.
600 minutes = 10 AP with rF Meditation, 11 AP with rA Meditation. If you choose to do so, you can use trans once per real life day with that AP, or just spend it on skills. And the
mission that you would probably use trans for would probably end with you being victorious and receiving at most 30-40 AP. More AP to spend on skills or another trans for more missions where you might think you need it, for again, more AP.
It's not disadvantageous at all. At the very least, it's balanced. Like, balanced between giving 10 AP to training a 150 AP-required rank, or using that 10 AP in a difficult boss fight (that you happen to know you can't solo, like a hard raid boss) for trans for a better chance to win 50+ AP for that skill you're ranking.
