I'm really against this. Frankly, as much as I enjoy the AP events and stuff like that, I think there's simply too much of it to go around, and now you can practically buy AP. As much as you can "buy" a certain amount of damage and stuff with reforges, it's random and it won't be much good to an underdeveloped character - but now you can literally buy character development, which is something i'm kind of against.
I'd rather they have made the exp curve more lenient for Hero Rebirths or something like that if they wanted to promote it, so you'd be both promoting gameplay and paying features. Not just insert money get AP.
Getting to level 50 each week is pretty much a joke, to anyone who says you have to put in effort into these characters.
Paying for rebirth cards was already "buying AP". This is just adding on an extra 50 to whichever character you choose.

I have 3 characters I level fairly evenly, so it's kind of attractive in some respects.
If there's a recurring cost, though, I won't bother.

Okay seriously, I think people are getting the wrong idea here. While technically, yes, you can use this system to rebirth alts and send your main a bunch of AP, I think it is meant to be used in the reverse order: A very high-leveled character that doesn't need much AP sending it to help level an alt.
I think the cost (NX, time, effort) of rebirthing a bunch of alts to boost your main is far, far too high for people to be freaking out about this change.
This would actually be useful if you were already paying for a hero card on your main (just a hero card instead of your weekly rebirths), and used the ap to help level an alt. Most people don't play/care about their alts though.
I think one way this could be used would be if people used the elite/hero cards to create a new character, then used the hero cards for weekly rebirths to catch that character up. That way, if they linked the character to their old main, then at least that old main is getting some ap each free? rebirth, even if the player dont level that character as much as they used to. And if they got tired of their new main, then at least too much progress wouldn't be lost.

I also have dual mains so if it was permanent after purchase, than I would jump on it. That would be pretty broken though.

The real question is can you rebirth two characters with ace cards and have them select each other and level them both up, getting them both level 50+50 AP :D dual mains ftw?
im considering doing this
like im honestly considering buying a hero card now waiting till im level 1000 then making it and then having my main slect this ne wcharacter which will then select my main
but at same time im weary if this will cost me extra nx each wweek because something about rebirthing or the druid talent cost nx to keep ??

I have around 1,300 AP at any given time, so not really. I don't rank skills very quickly these days, and AP is given out like candy.

Wouldn't you just hit the max of 50ap? Then you would have to buy more cards next week if you wanted to do it again

Depends, do you got enough time and money to rebirth your alts every week to have your main character level up?
The Daily Seal Quests give a decent chunk of exp actually and as I'll most likely farm seal the crap out of my alts, this is something I need to take advantage of. Maybe rebirth all 11 of my alts into a Hero and let that AP flow!

Roughly speaking yes. I wouldn't do it very often though. It would have to be a once every 3 months type affair as getting to level 50 off of seal quests via quickies that I can prepare for via afk fishing and mass gathering/cooking is something that'll take a few months.

For myself, i did answer with: meh.
Why? I ´m not even useing Magic & there are so lot AP Events.
Just as Example with the Current rb:
RB as Double Rainbow started. Made there around 100 LvL (incl. Expl)
Which makes already 200 AP.
Adding now the ~ Current AP from leveling and Age up: ~ 30 AP.
To this i add Following 2 Weeks of Event, Saga and Dailys. 147 AP.
So 377 AP till now (current Age 18).
Must add: I don´t feel in this game a real p2w. Or are there any PvP Events, where big Damage and so on count?
The only interesting Aspect of this Card is: Get faster this and that Skill. Depend on the Person, which sit behind the Computer.
