I guess it's something I never really noticed until I started doing puppet because with range it doesn't matter if people smash/wm/do whatever as long as the monsters still in range. But recently I've gotten into puppet and it's ridiculous how many people won't wait that extra second to let me just set up my puppets to crisis and decide to spread all the mobs out. I've started to solo more and more but everytime I go in a party I've had this issue.
I was in a shadow mission the other day and I was taking my puppet to crisis a group of monsters and this person (not a new player, their CP was 2.2k or something) decides to windmill them all away doing horrible damage (less than my r9 crisis). I think to myself that I can still get some of the ones she windmilled away since they're still kinda close together. So I go to those monsters and try to crisis, once again she windmills them away leaving me to be able to crisis one monster.
This is just one example, but it happens so much (even in NPC tourney in parties where I'm the only puppeteer) where people will just ruin the placement of all the mobs and don't feel like cooperating... at all. So my question is why? Why do people join parties if they don't want to be a team player, I get it if you can carry the whole team and you decide to kill everything or you're just a beginner that doesn't know any better but those are the only two excuses really. So why does almost all of Mabi have this mentality?

Dick measuring.
It's not exclusive to mabi either. They want to kill the most things the fastest because they want to one up others. Just don't run with pubs unless you absolutely have to. Not everyone is a good player or team player, regardless of level/rank. Run with your guild/friends and you'll get a good feel for their play styles and vice versa. You won't have that problem with them that's for sure.
Also, I get the feeling a lot of players just don't like puppets for whatever reasons they hold. You'll probably continue to see that animosity if you intend to use them. If you use them in situations where it's overkill, I think a lot of people feel exactly what you feel right now. "Damn that puppeteer, taking up all the spotlight and the mobs for himself. I'm bored now and I bet this guy thinks he's carrying.", but opinion would be quick to reverse at offering circles...
Honestly I don't care about that crap as long as the mission gets done, but it's a common kind of mentality. Especially when your party is over saturated. No challenge from the monsters? What about the teammates...?

That is why I usually party with people I know, so everyone usually has a good idea of who is doing what beforehand. However, it isn't bad to meet new people through random parties either.
Sometimes, even those who seem super strong (at least CP-wise) may not know things about other skillsets if they have not partied with people using those skillsets beforehand/never touched those skillsets. Probably unlikely, but you never know.
If teamwork really does get out of hand, there are a multitude of missions you can always split rooms/areas with other party members if your desire to solo is that prominent when teamwork is a lingering problem. You can always try to inform the players of what they're messing up and hope for the best that they learn from that. If they don't listen, then you're always welcome to flip a desk or try to tolerate it.
I find that a lot of players party with randoms to speed things up, rather than having to solo. With that being said, they could be wanting to rush like the rest of the players there, unaware of everyone's skill levels and the like. If you want to do something that'll probably benefit a party as a whole, then do express it so party members can perhaps adjust what they're doing as well. We're all likely aiming for the same thing at the end of the day anyways.
I'm pretty sure waiting for Mages to charge up skills also had slightly similar controversies like this in the past too. Dunno if its still an issue parties have.

Pretty much this, I don't care if your hitting higher thenb me or whatever, as long as your killing the monsters in a timely manner.

The way I see it is using a Crisis before anyone starts hitting the mobs will be benificial for the whole party in any situation. Honestly as long as I get that first Crisis off to group up the mobs I don't care what anyone else does to the monsters as long as they die. I don't see why people can't just wait for the Crisis to group up the mobs so everyones life is easier...

That person had 2.2k cp? That's probably jsut a tiny bit lower than mine, that person must hit real low.
I honestly don't find it annoying as long as they can one shot them. I remember when I was pulling for NPC, and a noob giant just smashes them away and tells me to "not tell me how to play". In a mission like NPC where you get insta aggro'd, this is a problem.

When i run missions i usually tend to run solo or get a group of people i know that can work together well to avoid this kind of situation. I do see people attempt to pull the crisis also and another person comes up going durrhurr wm time and it does get annoying. If it one shots it's understandable, if it doesn't than it just taking more time to get it done. I think people should just be able to work together better in certain things that requires some teamwork, other than that as long as it gets done, go nuts.

the situation itself just sounds like people who dont give a fk, not necessarily competitiveness
though as for people being competitive, the monsters in the game itself are so trivial that its pretty easy to get bored unless you have p3n0r battles

I hate party-ing with randoms for that reason. Although when someone does crisis, I'll be happy to ice spear/blaze right after, then if the mobs aren't dead, the puppeteer goes ahead and climatics dem mobs.

If it is all about you, then, they are just trolling you by preventing you from doing your combos.
If it isn't all about you, they are just doing whatever it takes to get the dungeon done, and not caring. Doing something is more fun than just standing there.

Don't run with pugs (pick up groups) they always do something to annoy me. If I can't solo it i get a party of friends or guildees I know are competent. Simply put, dont run with randoms it doesnt end well 99% of the time.

I'm so glad I'm not playing on Alexina. Pubs in Ruairi actually set up combos for each other.

Lolwat? It's not like my Crisis does 10k and kills everything in one shot. It's like one second of standing there waiting for someone to pull off a crisis. Also its not just Crisis, it's flame burst, thunder, hailstorm, etc. People don't want to wait a few more seconds to make the room/orb easier on everyone. I'm not complaining about people killing stuff, I'm complaining about people doing shit that makes it harder to kill stuff. Dunno where it came off that its "all about me".
