Bean Rua

  Okay so what's going to happen to bean that now?
  When Nation first started it was the joke around area where anything went as long as you weren't being a jerk and posting illegal stuff until this year.
  
  We're not allowed to double post
  We're barely allowed to bump old threads, for example someone bumped a thread I made years ago recently and that was locked, but there only thread that you can bump without it being locked is "The amazing bump thread" which was made because you could bump threads in bean rua in the first place
  And now there's a mod saying "please stay on topic"
  
  What's the point of Bean Rua anymore if its not even Bean Rua? It's becoming another off-topic 2/ general discussion 2

  The "Bean Rua" forum is the official off-topic section of the website. Here you may post threads that don't belong anywhere else, and make replies/threads that would normally be considered to pointless to be permitted anywhere else. All the forum rules still apply in this section.

  
  
  I don't know, I think we're already pretty lenient towards rua because that's what people seem to want. With that said, you all should already be aware that all the rules apply.

  You should look at Bean Rua as an actual pub like it is in Mabinogi, it's for drunk people who like to talk about things that make no sense. (in a way of saying although sometimes literally)
  
  People can have reasons to double post there, too.
  Going off-topic is pretty much part of Bean Rua as well, that's what kept it alive.
  
  Basically if you post a thread in Bean Rua, it means you're not expecting a serious answer.
  
  We should basically take action in BR if people are seriously insulting and hurting eachother or when inappropriate material gets posted (NSFW things, etc.)
  Other than that, Bean Rua is a Free-for-all chatterbox.
  
  I think that "All the forum rules still apply in this section" has to be reworded though, because that sentence is not true.

Just let BR have a moderator for its own(Preferably invisible status to prevent bias and favorism) instead of giving the job to some people who are oblivious to how BR works. Real tired to see some super moderators barging into BR with a notion that they are in any way needed.

  This is what I'm tired of, but it's only one person, so it isn't really that big of a deal. I guess I kind of figured that someone who has been here for almost three years would know how BR works, even if they don't visit it often. I guess you could say it's something to do with the rules, but since it has happened more than once, another mod definitely should have stepped in and said "hey, it's okay. that's okay for BR. stop."
  
  Buuut the reason why there are so many supermods and there are no regular mods is so there is almost always someone online who can handle anything, in any section. I'm sure you knew that already, but someone else might. Annnnd since it's only one person, I don't really see the need for a mod just for BR. Maybe said mod just shouldn't handle BR stuff unless it's dire (flaming, illegal stuff, etc).

  Not necessary a mod, just give said person the moderator power without the ability to give infractions. Just need a person to keep everyone in BR from crossing the line.
  BR is supposed to be a place for everyone to relax and talk shit to each other for fun and giggles. We don't need social justice warriors or some cyber police in a freaking pub.

  This has nothing to do with moderation, it has to do with how Bean Rua has changed.
  Look at this thread. See how Hanna's post are not merged however if you double post in Bean Rua now your post will be merged by a mod since double posting isn't acceptable there anymore.

  It's funny how a lot of people that complain about something never actually report it.
  
  As stated before, Bean Rua is allowed to have double-posts in it so long as it doesn't get out of hand. We'd only ever warn/infract people for that if we've asked them to stop and they refuse to.
  
  Spam in Rua is largely debatable. Since it is for topics that wouldn't even go anywhere else, what constitutes a topic there can be pretty loose. However, I'm looking at Splat's threads and they all at least have a point related to them. People have posted worse and no one complains about them. If anything can be called Spam it's the amount of threads, and as for that, there's a certain per-day limit that he keeps to, and if he doesn't, we tell him.
  
  I see no reports about anything NSFW/disturbing that Splat has posted, from you or anyone else, and people tend to be quick about reporting something like that. There was an incident a while ago, but if there's more of that, no one is seeing it.
  
  Contrary to what you may think, Splat does get infracted for any actual Spam. You wouldn't know because:
  1. It's on the back end of things so anything that is considered against the rules is dealt with in a way that people can't see
  2. Because you yourself aren't reporting said spam you wouldn't even be someone getting feedback from us letting you know we've done it in the first place.
