So we're fast approaching my most favorite time of the year ever, and I wanted to celebrate it with a holiday art contest!

The objective of this contest is to draw holiday-themed pictures of my character, Cygnix!

[SIZE="3"]The Rules/Guidelines

[/SIZE]

1) Please use the references provided for Cygnix's hairstyles/hair colors and eye colors. You do NOT have to use the exact face/hair style combinations in the screenshots, you can mix and match those however you want.

2) Feel free to make your own clothing sets for Cygnix or use other mabi clothing sets; the screenshots are just provided as reference if you feel like using those sets.

3) Color your pictures! Uncolored pictures/sketches will not be counted as entries.

4) Please use holiday colors in your art if you can, I love red and green =) You don't have to make the clothes both red and green, I would just like it to be somewhere in the picture if possible, even if it's just minor decorations in the background or something.

5) Please give your picture a background and setting! I love pictures with settings for the character~

6) You may draw Cygnix with an in-game NPC/monster/pet of your choice if you find it fitting, or just Cygnix - whatever you feel fits best with your drawing.

7) Don't copy or trace from existing images; you will be disqualified if I find that you have copied or traced someone else's work. Heavy referencing of poses (or anything really) from another piece of artwork or stock photo/image is NOT ok either; you may only reference heavily from your own pictures/photos.

8) Don't use the work of others in your entry in any way, shape or form. Even if they give you their permission to use it as part of your entry and you credit them, it is not ok to submit it as your entry for this contest.

9) You may submit up to 2 entries for the contest, but you can only win once!

10) You must have a Mabinogi character of at least total level 300 by the contest deadline (on any server) in order to be eligible to win a prize. This is to prevent people who do not play the game and/or have no interest in mabi from entering the contest and walking away with money/nx. I want to support Mabi community since I love the game -- and yes I will check before I send you the prize!

11) Winners from Ruairi, if there are any, are eligible to receive a mystery item prize along with the listed prize.

You may submit your entries in this thread or send entries to my email (cygnix at iridiafire dot net) with the subject labeled "Holiday Art Contest" with the attached file.

PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR IGN AND SERVER WITH YOUR SUBMISSION.

All entries must be submitted by December 31, 2013 at 8:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (that's 5:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time for those of you on the west coast).

If you miss this deadline, your entry will not be counted... no exceptions![/color]

If it's traditional work, the artwork should be scanned or you should have a good quality picture of it with a camera. If you use a cellphone to take a picture of it, I shouldn't be able to tell that you took the picture with your cellphone.

I mean, I'm not going to disqualify anyone from the contest if they used a cellphone to take a picture of their work, but if it's low quality, it's going to hurt their chances of winning, especially if they happen to be a top contender save for the picture quality.

There's no rules on how much of the character you should draw or what style you draw them in.. that's up to you to figure out.
