IMO Knives is annoying, she acts like shes trying to please Scott and not actually understand him and truely love him, she seems blinded by the fact that he has his own band and she doesnt notice how Scott keeps her at a distance and doesn't let her get too close. Ramona is HOT but sadly she acts cold and distant to Scott which makes him want her more.
Didnt See vampires suck, its by the same guys that made epic movie/date movie/ scary movie 3 and 4, and meet the Spartans. Its an excuse to sell ****ty pop music to teens who dont understand true comedic genius. for example: Man in a towel asks person "A" for lost tooth brush person "A" is using tooth brush for awkward/ disgusting purpose, situational event with good timing. Epic movie / scary movie 3 and 4 humor: Semi-serious conversation + fart joke. End of scene.
I may be wrong and i will watch Vampires suck when i see a link for it online or rent it, but i wont pay for it.
Eh, those movies you listed are funny the first time you watch them, during the hype of what they're parodying, because you're going to see it just to see what they do to try and bastardize it, and it usually works if you think about it. After Scary Movie 4 came out, the huge hype over Horror movies coming out every half a month died away, and now we only get the occasional one, like it should be. Then Epic Movie came out when Hollywood was churning out Super Hero/Fantasy movies left and right, and after that, again, only occasionally and when it does come out, the movie is usually a blockbuster, so it got Hollywood to start releasing quality films of that genre again. Date Movie didn't work well, only because there will always be chick flicks, many of which are already parodies of the Romantic Comedy genre. With Meet the Spartans, it really went down hill, since instead of parodying a genre, it only went after 300 and referenced current pop culture. Sure, it pretty much killed of any new "This is Sparta!" jokes, but it didn't really influence Hollywood because of it. The same thing is going to happen with Vampires Suck. It's gonna most likely kill off any Twilight fan's love for the series and/or the hate for it, but since it focuses on one movie (or series in this case), it won't change Hollywood. And after the hype, it really just loses it's charm, and you go "Ugh, and I actually liked this before?"
I would like to see Scott Pilgrim, mostly from a gamer's perspective. The special effects look good, but at the same time, too cartoony for a live action movie, and a basic romance story (which is what people tend to get from the trailers if they never heard of the books), so if I wasn't a gamer, I probably would have put it under the rental category of when to watch it.
The movie that I do want to see that came out recently is "The Expendables", if only because they got almost some pretty big named action star of the last few decades (Sly Stallone, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, with cameo appearances by Bruce Willis and the Governator for action stars, and some wrestling/MMA stars like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Randy Couture), so it's gonna be full of action and explosions and blood and violence, at the cost of most likely having a very generic "Action hero's girlfriend get kidnapped, so he gets a group of mercenaries to track her down, rescue her, and then kill every other living thing in site" storyline. It's one of those movies that you go to see for a guilty pleasure.
