Well, Throwing Attack in G12S2 becomes more efficient if not completely. In G12 it get's a damage multiplier similar to Magnum Shot, unlike now it has a damage form like magic bolts where base damage is given but your stats have to bring it further, and of course now Strength gives a lesser amount of damage to Throwing Attack however the boost of damage is very low, comparable to pre-G9 Int formula but even more less.
But in G12, Throwing Attack gets the damage multiplier which increases damage much more efficiently, at rank F it is 300% damage and rank 1 is 900% damage. This doesn't seem too much since normally the max damage you can get with an Atlatl, Short Javelin, and some Strength will give about 50 max damage. However if you add that 300% to 50, you will do 150 with one throw, now if you have rank 1 Throw multiply 900% with 50 and you'll get 450 damage with one throw. If it crit you will do 675. That's pretty decent damage however DevCat killed it by shoving a stupid 25 second cooldown to the skill. Now that's just dull. Even some Korean players complain on how it takes forever to train it. Check out the insane training requirements for rank 2:

However in the bright side when you have rank 1 Throw, you will deal a good amount of damage averaging in about 200 per throw. That can be useful in Guild Battles if your guild like to GB a lot. A Bone Atlatl has a range of 1800 which is almost as long as a LLB. Combined with the 90% accuracy you can kill almost anyone, especially elves with your Javelins. But don't forget about the 25 second cooldown.
Didn't Giants already have Vito Crux?
