  Btw was talking to Kapra and apparently KR is using some assets from Nekojima but they are also using stuff from the unreleased Oriental Town that was supposed to be released after G12 as well as it's own original assets so kind of a mixed bag going on here.

  There's no concrete proof that I'm aware of but I would like for it to be a permanent addition. I'll keep an alt on the island as a precaution.

  I would want it to be permanent, but I doubt it is. I can only come up with guesses at this point until we can find some concrete proof. My best guess would be, after this event is over assuming it isn't permanent, the minigames and quests will stop coming in, and the only way to return to the island would be via housing coupons or homestead-smuggling. But the island would remain useless except for being able to fish/metallurgy. Similar to nekojima but without the dungeon, and nekojima didn't have these event prizes and quests.
  
  Also, terrain is slightly different from Nekojima, but mostly similar. They did edit terrain from port qilla and nekojima a bit, since this place partially borrows from them. Though, mostly the geography is different, which you could see on the map comparison we posted earlier. They also updated some of the models of previous areas a bit, mostly just nekojima and oriental town.
