Ah. My favorite topics to talk about.
Currently I'm doing Lance/Gunner but I'm planning to switch to Archer/Gunner or Puppet/Gunner when I get higher.
Since you mentioned all three classes, here are my opinions for each talent combos:
Archer/Gunner
Pros: Super AoE skills.
You can infinitely spam Crashshot-Shooting Rush combos (they both have 5 sec CD).
Both strong in 1v1 and 1vE
Cons: Extremely demanding stats (str+dex+int), aggro control, needs A LOT of AOE pets.
*You will need at least 3+ ice dragons/scooters to spam CS-SR combo
Puppet/Gunner
Pros: Also super AoE skills. Crisis-Rising Action-Shooting Rush/Bullet storm would pretty much clear any waves
Cons: Also demanding stats (str+dex+int), needs to calculate cooldown, huge dependency in Crisis
I personally think Puppet/Gunner is extremely hard to execute,
not only each puppet skills have huge cooldown,
but also need to keep track of mobs' downgauge as well.
Using shooting rush/bulletstorm right after Crisis will get really ugly...
*WotG duration vs. WotG attack speed
I will definitely prefer WotG duration over attack speed,
but WotG attack speed is also good IF you are using non-attackspeed Taunes.
Now what I mean by non-attackspeed taunes is that people who enchanted [Officer's/Crocodile]
and don't have attackspeed sets to proc.
You will need lvl15+ wotg attack speed to make taunes = dowra speed.
(Before/After activating WotG)
Taunes = Zeder
Attack speed Taunes = Dowra
Dowra = Attack speed Dowra;
Attack speed Dowra = Attack speed Dowra.
Attack speed Dowra itself is the capped attack speed.
Taunes w/WotG lvl15+ speed = Dowra.
Useless if you are using Automatic/Viscount(hawk)
Reforges.
Archer/Gunner:
-Crash shot fragment range (hat)
-Crash shot fragment numbers (clothes)
-Crash shot damage (gloves)
-Shooting rush damage (boots)
Keep in mind that shooting rush damage reforges are EXTREMELY RARE to get.
Actually, it's common to see ~lvl12 shooting rush damage, but super rare to see anything above lvl15.
I would say getting ele in rank1 weapons are easier than
getting lvl15+ shooting rush damage. You have been warned!
I wouldn't switch CS gloves to MS gloves-- your dps relies heavily on CS/SR and
you rarely get hit by mobs if you have quite a few number of AOE pets.
Gunner/Puppet:
-WotG duration/Crisis Range (hat)
-?????? (clothes)
-Manashield (gloves)
-Shooting rush damage (boots)
Someone said Crisis radius reforge is useless.
I respect that-- but remember, if you are going to use puppet/guns, you are going to rely heavily in crisis.
When I used to play in KR, puppeteers w/o Crisis reforge hat are not even considered to be "puppeteers"...
especially in Lords/NPCs... server difference i guess...
WotG duration reforge is definitely noticeable-- it increases 10seconds in lvl20.
10 seconds is a lot of DPS -- you are basically going to deal additional
12480% gun damage (312% * 40 hits).
With this you can finish off Kristell/Price/Tarlach in 40seconds.
I wouldn't reroll your hat for crisis radius/WotG duration reforges,
but what I will do is buy few r1 Hats and roll if I can get lucky with it.
