Today all I've been hearing about is the DMX vs. George Zimmerman celebrity boxing match, meanwhile today is actually Travons birthday, and instead of people wishing him peace and what not there are actually people on Facebook mocking him, wearing blackface and holding Arizona tea and skittles
I really hate people sometimes
I remember calling my mom during the George Zimmerman vs. State of Florida trial and she was talking about how Zimmerman was defending himself and was innocent.
I was able to change her mind with a single question.
"Mom, Trayvon was my age, what if that were me?"

People are only in denial because they don't want to admit that Zimmerman brought it on himself. The only reason so many racists dipshits even support him is because he acts like a generic WASP; he's a racist little wannabe that gets off on profiling other minorities.
If he had shot a white kid instead, then society would've wanted to hang his ass.

I could have sworn that they proved that the kid was actually dangerous and that at the time he was on drugs. I even recall some phone record about him having a weapon that they had a big fit about because it was hidden from the evidence until the case was over or something.

I don't ever remember reading anything about that and I've followed this case as far back as the petition
Either way, you don't shoot an unarmed kid
If any of that were true it would have been on the news especially since they all seemed to favor Zimmerman
He profiled
He followed
He threatened
He fought
He shot
He was a (just turned) 17 year old boy who liked to take photos of his middle fingers and smoked weed, typical rebellious teenage shit

Stop making murderers famous? Great idea, can we start by not making threads like this?

Appeal to emotion.
Congrats, you can control the sheep (your mom) without having to use logic.

The sheeple are easy to handle if you know the right buzz words to get their attention.

Using empathy to help my mom understand why shooting and unarmed boy is wrong? Hell yeah.
A mother lost her son to a murderous bastard who'd I'd like to see face ripped off, what's the best way to show a mother why that guy deserves to spend the rest of his life in a jail cell.

Because apparently ranting about a piece of white trash on
A website no one cares about gives him thousands from book and tv deals, and celebrity boxing matches-ohwaititdoesntlolnvm
Same shit happened with Casey Anthony, cunt murders 3 year old and gets rich off of it
God bless America, this country is a shithole

The only person who truly knows what happened is Zimmerman.
All of the rest is extrapolation and theory, which is why i have no opinion on the matter

You're using empathy as an excuse to forgo logic, which is wrong.

I just wrote a really long fucking post that disappeared because nation decided to log me out but anyway I said a single question changed her mind, I never said I never gave her facts about the case but she was already set in her ignorant mindset most gun nuts have
Then I made her put herself in the shoes of his parent and it changed her mind, not in an instant but a few days later she called me telling me she's been thinking about it and agrees
Another example is my uncle hated gays, no matter how many articles I gave to him he wouldn't budge
Then I told him about the thousands of gay kids who kill themselves
Now he is an active gay supporter (his son killed himself after serving in Iraq)
Sometimes people need that emotional connection to even consider anything other than the norm
