Most Efficient Buff Foods

  Considering the stat cap is 1500 and I can get almost 1300 dex through leveling and my gear, the maximum of 200 increase in dex as well as the fact that trans can easily close that gap makes festival food a bit underwhelming for people with soft capped stats. I'd be alot more interested if it instead gave flat max. However this doesn't mean its not something I wouldn't use, I just dont feel its super amazing.
  
  On another note, they need to increase the stat hard cap soon because its becoming commonplace to reach the hard cap and I feel I'm wasting stats and gear whenever I hit it....

  You'd have to look up one of the luck set threads on Nation, some people commented on that. I don't think that huge lucky finishes are much more common if you keep adding luck past something like 150-200, but you'd probably get a lot of "normal" lucky finishes.
  
  All the same, considering the time and/or gold it takes to make a picnic (less time but more gold if you're able to buy all the complete dishes) you would probably be hard pressed to make a lot of gold that way (i.e. if you buy 10 corn teas for a Festival Food you'll have to make about 50k in 20 min from just gold drops just to break even.) My guess would be that luck sets and luck picnics would be best used for things like gathering and production bonuses, as there are many ways to make gold but only 1-2 ways to gather/make stuff.[/SIZE][/FONT]

  I once drank a corn tea, or I don't remember how many, but my character got so skinny, he looked anorexic... D: I kind of wish food didn't make us fat, or if there were some option for it. :(

  That's most likely going to be the problem with festival food; making one dish for a small stat boost over 20 minutes isn't worth it, so ten probably won't be either. I can see people using them in parties and so forth, but making 10 dishes is quite a lot of work. Maybe there's something I'm missing.

  This is the second reason I don't utilize food buffs, besides weight. XD
  Maybe it'd be better to use it for occasions like raids or really hard missions/dungeons.

  An easier way would be to hord good food from events like the fishing event going on right now (HINT HINT!) to stockpile a bunch if you have space. Of course you could always buy NPC food if you really want to be cheap. Frankly, I don't mind cooking lots of food on Mabinogi, it's one of the things I actually enjoy and will enjoy more with the new cooking interface so I don't have to run to the wiki for every dish I want to make.
  
  Of all the life skills in mabinogi Music and Cooking are my two favorite by far and has been my passion from the start. Sadly, it's a passion that very few in Mabinogi share in.

  Only if you make multi-step dishes. Otherwise, it takes just a few minutes.
  
  I don't remember if someone pointed it out already, but it seems (to me) that many seafood dishes provide better stats than other dishes. So, it might be of interest to afkfish for fish, for once.

  If you want hybrid stats, go with something like Rock Bream Fish Stew. Much faster to make (all ingredients available from NPCs), and the only skillset that doesn't get much love from it is Alchemy.
  Or you could lazymode it and just buy Annick's.

  That's all well and good, but if it takes you 5 minutes to create a dish that gives around say 250 of a stat then you would get the following in damage return over 20 minutes:
  
  Lancer: 600~700 max + 250 strength (100 max) for +14.2~16.7% damage increase
  Archer: Same as lancer
  Gunner: 800~900 max + 250 strength (50 max) for +5.55~6.25%
  Puppeteer: Similar enough to gunner but with less puppet return and more control bar return
  Mage: Just not much, my intelligence would is capped but if it were uncapped I would receive a 8.3% increase in MATK
  Fighter: 500~600 max + 250 will (75 max) for 11.25~15%
  Alchemy: Do you think this is a tropacat?
  
  ...and you would take about +25% time to achieve this. So unless I have missed something, it would be inefficient for high level players at very least. I'm sure you could do it for fun, or just to seem a bit stronger now and again. The damage return for time invested isn't horrible, but I don't enjoy sifting through the cooking UI and repeatedly making the same dish hundreds of times one by one. Now there are some ways to make it more efficient such as: doing it for large parties, cooking while you wait for things, and just having much lower stats than I do.

  Well if you hate cooking Zekkii there's lots of NPC food you could buy to achieve decent enough effects I feel. I don't know what's the most efficient NPC food though so that's something that someone would have to look into (too lazy to do it)
