how to fix egos
STR = Gets an extra 0.5% damage every two levels with an added 2% damage every 10 levels (so a level 10 ego would have 7% damage, level 20 would have 14%, level 30 would have 21%, level 40 would have 28%, level 50 would have 35%)
INT = 1% reduced resource consumption per level (Stam, MP, etc)
Dex = 1 Level of piercing per 10 levels and pierces 2 points of def/mdef per level (so level 50 would ignore 190 def and 25 prot)
Will = Durability and 1% crit damage per level with a 2% bonus per level (so 12% crit at level 10, 24 at level 20, 36 at level 30, 48 at level 40, 60 at level 50)
Luck = Raises the crit cap for the weapon 1% every 5 levels (so 50 luck would give the weapon 40% crit chance instead of 30)
Social = All ego awakenings are changed to buffs:
Range: Damage increased by (Social Level)% and all ranged atttacks shot at more than 30% aim (at max level, the minimum level for this effect scales with Social Level) connect without fail for the next 30 seconds.
Sword/Blunt: Melee damage is increased by (Social Level)% and ignore all defense and protection for the duration, while the player's Defense and Protection is increased. For Blunts, all melee attacks apply a stun similar to Charge.
Magic: Casting Speed and Magic Damage is increased by (Social Level)%, MP is restored at a massively increased rate (Social Level/7 MP/sec) and casting cannot be interrupted for the next 30 seconds.
Passive Spirit Weapon hunger decreased
Spirit Weapon durability decreases at half the rate of normal weapons (ego wand durability decreases at 25% the rate of normal weapons)
Spirit Weapon hunger from usage increases
Spirit Weapon leveling caps removed (to encourage actually using the Spirit Weapon)
Spirit Weapons can now be fed Dragon parts for massive increases in all levels (for a frame of reference, a Black Dragon Eye would take a Spirit Weapon from 40 at all levels to 47 at all levels)
Spirit Weapons now gain a slight amount of experience from usage (usage includes both attacks fired and kills collected with the weapon)

I'd love to see egoes OP as hell like this, unfortunately I doubt nexon would do something quite this drastic. Likely we'd see 1 of the stated buffs added if anything, my guess would be crit damage to social or something which has been tossed around a bit.

I think they'd need to add a bit more than critical damage to make egos outclass everything else. In the ego bows case, it's strongest competitor (bhafel hunter+huntress) still outclasses it due to unlimited arrows and a 15% multiplier to its end damage not to mention the extra 2 piercing, causing anyone with an ele6+ hunter to hit about twice as much damage. Even the extra 100 or so max from an ego with an extra +50% critical damage would still not be as much as a bhafel hunter+huntress (except on ele immune mobs, but theres not enough of them atm for it to matter). I think some of the ideas Koishi posted are good but all that piercing would be too op.

Unfortunately I have little faith at this point that they will do anything/much to improve spirit weapons. I think the maximum extent to which they may "improve" them is by making certain weapons like the Bhafel Hunter egoable or adding minor crit dmg/piercing dmg lol

Then piercing would just be useless.

Defense piercing is basically useless anyways. I feel that there should be a balance so that one weapon doesnt completely outclass another. Make the bhafel Hunter+huntress able to compete, make the cost of egos not so ridiculous to cap.
