How long will Mabinogi last?

  In my opinion it depends on how the next two games (Arena and Peria chronicles) Release and the year they release. So far looks like they will keep vindictus running alongside Arena. I feel like Peria is aimed at taking away mabinogi players and attracting new players. Part of me just feels like they are pumping out content to cash out before that happens.
  
  If I had to guess, depending on how peria chronicles is and how it peforms, it may start to pull players and then after that I'd give mabi anywhere from 2-5. It really depends on how nexons next lineup of games are. Either way mabis got a while before it dies. They are able to pump out content (lame content) but they are still putting time into the game and that = game still being pretty alive and kicking.

  Than they release one new thing and people rush back to it. Its got plenty of time. But who really cares about the time it lasts? Just enjoy it while its here.

  Exactly this, Sadly theres people who rather just have a storyline/fashion update instead of challenging/harder content, you know, things that would want us to rank skills for stats, buy reforges and pay rebirth to progress up to, Mabinogi isn't free to keep up.
  
  It seems like they've been pouring most of their time lately on temporary content(Holloween event/Doki Doki Island), yes, it's fun, for the first week or two, then it just becomes repetitive. Content that we have to look forward to current is the Pyramid with that demonic goat boss thingie, and I pray to god it's gonna be hard, or at least have a elite/lord+ difficulty)
  
  I liked the direction they were going with abyss dungeons, Peaca abyss is easy(heck I even solo'd it) but its also fun sometimes, Coill abyss is disappointing(the rooms), the boss is rather challenging, but wouldn't be something I'd spam.

  Mabi EU wasn't a failure from the start. It went from good to failure because all GM team was moved to vindi EU. And there they're doing a really good job by fixing glitches in days that takes mabi NA months to fix, plus they actually hunt down gold buyers/sellers to keep the economy from being shit like it's on NA.
  
  It's possible that if vindi didn't existed, mabi EU would probably be hack free and completely updated with KR.
  
  
  And why the fuck people keep making threads like this everytime people are busy with work/school. It's obvious that on these seasons game pop always go down. And on the matter of games dying, look at iRO for example.

  In my opinion, I that mabinogi is alright as it is now. If you don't like the game's engine, or how it doesn't get new permanent content that then don't play it. We're lucky that we even have the begin with, worse case it would've came to NA or it would've lasted only 2yrs like EU Mabi. We should just be thankful for what we got and hope for the best.
  ^Just my opinion, there's always another side to it, like 2 side of a coin.

  There are people who have played for years who maybe average 60-70 per RB and won't even touch certain SMs because those are still too hard. There are people who play because they like to look pretty and roleplay as a cute animoo girl with the latest fashion. There are people who don't even know what the fuck raiding is, and if they do they'd never consider going to one.
  
  I get that most of us are extremely high leveled and all but when you're 7, 8, 9, 10, 11k and have every skill or almost every skill ranked, then that's not the best perspective of the long term viability of the game because it's gonna feel stale no matter what.

  It looks like it could be Mabi 2.0 graphically, but the gameplay is nothing like Mabinogi. At least it seems to be a sandbox though.

  Game isn't even out on KR and is still on early development, it's advertised with a open world sandbox game with multiple skillsets and pet/esper summons to do your bidding.

  Mabi will last as long as there are people willing to pump money into it because they enjoy it. I count myself to be one of them. As for any future "Mabi 2.0s" Im not gonna hold my breath. We'll see what happens when it happens.
