How long will Mabinogi last?

  As long as there is updates in Korean Mabinogi, Korean players there will keep playing. That would indirectly mean that Nexon will keep Mabinogi open for a bit longer.
  
  NA Mabinogi is the only Mabinogi we have around here anyways.
  
  I would say Mabinogi will go on a few more years?
  
  I wonder how powerful our characters will be in a few more years of updates. Every update adds slightly more stats, and sometimes entire new fighting styles.

  There are people who have played for years who maybe average 60-70 per RB and won't even touch certain SMs because those are still too hard. There are people who play because they like to look pretty and roleplay as a cute animoo girl with the latest fashion. There are people who don't even know what the fuck raiding is, and if they do they'd never consider going to one.
  
  I get that most of us are extremely high leveled and all but when you're 7, 8, 9, 10, 11k and have every skill or almost every skill ranked, then that's not the best perspective of the long term viability of the game because it's gonna feel stale no matter what.

  
  
  And i'll tell you why those people still play mabi, they just log, put up their pretty clothes and afk all day. Either that or use mabi as a facebook extension. Most of those people may never even leave dunby unless theres events on other towns.
  
  Why are people who actually play mabi for all of it's aspects bored of it? Raids are boring as after a couple of months after its release only a couple of people would go to them, shadow missions are terribly designed compared to similar content on other games, dungeons are terrible with awful rewards, too many script kiddies with power trips with pake, the absolute p2w gameplay mechanics that nexon is trying to shove on people face and cash shop "events".
  
  Mabinogi isn't even mabinogi anymore. Ranking skills are pretty much based on buying pots from gacha, ranking lifeskills is pretty much spamming dailies, getting AP is all about spamming daily missions or spamming p2w weekly rbs and getting stronger is all about spamming reforges on gacha weapons and pray for a high elemental level. There is nothing that's based on effort anymore. And even if you jump on the bandwagon and get to be one of the strongest of the server, there is absolutely no content that will be any challenge at the endgame just making you quit out of boredness after spending over 10k on cash shop items to reach that level.
  
  And almost forgot, you say the people who complain are mostly vets. You should see the amount of newbies that play for a couple of days and find out the game is p2w and quit there.

  I started a couple months ago and I haven't quit? And mabinogi is still well mabinogi, just cuz things got easier doesn't mean the game isn't itself anymore.
  I also like to think that mabinogi is an evolving game, like adding new map, weapon, update and etc as days, months, and years pass. Like we started as pioneer in middle ages as we settle in new land as time passes new skill set was invented(lance, guns, control bar, fighter), new technology. Who knows sooner or later it might reach modern age, it is our fantasy life so we can afk anyways, bard, evg, and etc.

  Actually I think you may have missed the point of the last post but, i feel that the other person was trying to point out that the only things we have to do in mabi is constantly grind sms and pots as we slowly max out our characters. Its been like this for like 3 years. Ever since Sms came into the game imo it turned into more of your average mmo.There is like no reason to travel anywhere in the game besides tara. All of these wasted spaces with so much potential like iria and belvast. I feel like devcat swapping directors is why this happened.
  
  They slowly stopped adding in sandbox features to the game. I think the last thing we got was Homesteads and devcat barely touches or updates them. I mean don't get me wrong dungeons aren't much better, but if devcat actually worked on them, they could have been something special.
  
  This game went from trying to be a fantasy life to trying to be Averagemmo because of those duechbag directors who tried to add in classes and god they almost ruined this game with dynamic combat.
  
  
  This is why im really excited for peria chronicles because its projected to bring the sandbox qualities back that mabi left behind. The combat looks strategitic. Its got a nice artstyle. I mean litterally if you guys have judged peria based on that one trailer that was just posted you guys havent seen it all. Theres so much info in another trailer on city building and i have to say that it looks very nice. As in our last hope kind of nice.
